I recently surpassed 500 upped cards ... which is around 40% complete. I haven't done grinding for cards all that much recently but a couple of new decks I've learned about have inspired me to get back to it! Always fun to try something new, and the nice thing is once you have a solid base of cards building a new upped deck becomes the work of fewer and fewer new upgrades.

Yup, it is nice to be able to make a new upped deck without having to go spend 45k in one go.  For me, it's Pillars and Pendulums that kills.  I always hate upgrading those for 1.5k each.  : \

I have about 750 upped cards, a bit more than half the way.

As for the question of how many towers would you want, I think we should make a distinction between quantum towers and element specific towers. 15 of a single element tower seems plenty, but is a bit short for the quantum tower (I was once using a big timebow with 25 QTs).

If you want to be hardcore, you can go for the Trainer collection- 24 of each Tower and Pendulum.  For faster decks, I have found that I often need 17 or even 18 Towers to get enough in my opening hand.  As jmizzle7 said earlier in the thread, 24 hits that magical 40% of your biggest possible deck.  But that's a little too hardcore for me.

Indeed, I'm going the hardcore way but will not be able to get all upgrades unless the storage capacity will soon be extended D:
At least my fail is epic I really hope zanz extends it since I'm not far away from 3000 cards, so yeah, for all you people who try the same I recommend saving up electrum untill it does get expanded (after all, you can't add unlimited cards to the game without extending storage for players ).

I have 985 total upgraded cards, I go for 14 of each tower(except 25 quantum, and 18 Aether) and 10 of each pendulum.  Most decks I make will be 30 cards, and 14 towers is almost half which I find to be plenty for most decks.

This is due to my gigantic rare collection (many T50 games, lol), with 61 unupgraded SoGs, 43 Pulverizer, 43 Trident, 39 Eternity, 43 Miracle, 40 Lobotomizer, etc. In case zanz allow us to sell cards for other players (I hope we will be able to do that in the future), I will possibly get a fair ammount of gold Or maybe I will sell them when Im near to complete the collection... some years from now, by the way

You can always have hardcore amount of upped pillars/towers and buy the unupped whenever you need them, then sell them to let the game be saved...
