I had been having horrible luck fighting the False Gods. I kept getting Morte or Scorpio and being poisoned to death, or Seism and ending up with no pillars. Anyway, I lucked out and was fighting the Chaos Lord.
Things were going well - I had disposed of almost all his creatures, had a lot of damage on the board, and had grabbed his last shield with a Steal card. I was down to my last card, but I was using Eternity to keep putting it back in my deck. Then he stole Eternity from me! WTF? I didn't know he had Steal cards. Perhaps he mutated his Photon into something that could steal? Anyway, I now had only one card. I rolled. He had thirty-eight points and I was going to deck out on the next roll. Thank goodness for stupid AIs. Rather than let me deck out he hit me with Eternity! It put a card back in my hand, I rolled again, and won. And I got two Improved cards out of the draw - a Supernova and a Quantum Tower! Yay me!
