I enjoy playing both games, both for different reasons. In some ways Elements excels, in other ways Tyrant is better. I would elaborate on the pros and cons of each game, but that has somewhat already accomplished in above posts and that is not what I would like to discuss.
unit, and anyone else that thinks similarly, should learn that just because something is better does not mean it deserves more popularity. I used to behave much like unit, complaining that the greatest things are overshadowed by subpar competitors. However, I have learned (and am still learning) that sometimes you must accept this unfortunate reality.
For example, we could examine music. The popular music of today is lacking talent: generic, computer-generated beats, autotune, lack of originality and expression, and lyrics that could be written by any 12 year old. Yet it is more popular than other types of music that possess huge amounts of skill, talent, expression, etc. I have struggled with this concept because I am a huge fan of music and I was simply devastated that such a thing happened. However, over the years I gradually accepted this and I realized that other people have different opinions, and I should respect that. Even though they like something that I don't, that is fine. I find release in the fact that I, personally, listen to the best music, and I choose to ignore pop music.
There are other examples for this as well, it's not that hard to find them in the world. Just think of categories (entertainment, government, etc) and you'll realize this prevalent in many different areas.
I think this is a skill that we all must learn - accepting reality and accepting opposing views. Sure, you may think, even know for a fact, that Tyrant is worse than Elements. However, there are many people out there who think Tyrant is better than Elements, and you are but one among many. Just because you have a certain viewpoint does mean everyone shares it. Just accept that some things in life are more popular or widespread than other, more deserving things.
The only thing that should be important to you is knowing the truth, that Elements is a better game than Tyrant. Just ignore those silly Tyrant lovers that rate their game higher, and enjoy the fact that you play the better game.
