But, I don't even know how to describe it for English speakers...

OK, I'll try:
Well, the 'o' is easy, like the sound at the end of the word 'auto'.
But the 'zs' is actually a single sound, not 2 separate letters, and its a sound that doesn't exist in English.
However, it does exist in French, words starting with 'j' in french  sound like that, such as "Je t' aime", e.g.

Not exactly, but we do have a similar sound: the ti in equation, s in pleasure, si in vision, g in beige, or z in azure. IPA lists it as the consonant sound ʒ and most dictionaries in the US list it as zh.

English is not my native language and I did not think about those words, but now as you list them I can definitely see that the "s in pleasure, si in vision, g in beige" matches it pretty close, in fact when I speak English I use exactly the same sound for those -- which may not be 100% correct and due to my accent. On the other hand, I thought  "ti in equation" and in nation etc. was a softer sound more like 'sh', but again that could just be my wrong accent. As for "azure" I never knew it should be pronounced like that, I would have said it with plain 'z', like in zoo.
