Hi. I'm dood that gave all 29 False Gods a physical appearance via pixel art and whatnot. And I was thinking that maybe I can make some more lore to it than just that. So here are going to be compiled all the thoughts and canons on the False God Pantheon. (Sadly, excluding Leviathan and Drekuth as they're not in the actual game)
Feel free to discuss these ideas and offer your own. Note, that this is only my headcanon and you have every right to disagree.
1. Zodiac. It's fairly obvious that
two members of the Pantheon are based of zodiac signs or zodiac constellations. However, only two of the signs made it into the Pantheon, and not other ten. What I suggest is that Gemini and Scorpio were spirits of their representative constellations, and so were the other ten elemental spirits. All of them had some sort of "constellational trace" (a.k.a.
![Aether :aether](https://elementscommunity.org/forum/Smileys/solosmileys/../../../images/Misc/aether18x18.png)
cards), since they're descended from unearthly realm of existence (a.k.a. Aether). However, for one reason or another, ten other Zodiac Deities were either defeated in a unique way, that wouldn't allow them to exist on Elements' world or somehow else ceased to exist and (probably) ascended back to their constellations, leaving Scorpio and Gemini as members of the False Gods Pantheon. As to why that happened? Dunno, they could just be unlucky, stumbling on someone or something that could obliterate them straight into the stars.
2. Embodiments of elements. Recently, I found out that some of the False Deities represent certain elements better, than anyone else. Obviously, there are twelve False Deities that represent twelve respective elements (even if the FGs aren't exactly mono decks):
Spoiler for Who and why are Embodiments of elements:
-
: Chaos Lord. Name speaks for itself, Lord of Chaos absolutely loves being random and causing disarray, and is very good at it too. -
: Morte. I don't really see logic behind having
creatures in Morte's deck, but the main focus of Morte is death, poisoning and death of poisoning. -
: Akebono. Gravity is all around masses and sizes, and there's hardly any FG at all that can compare to massiveness of Akebono -
: Seism. Obliterator and Seism are one of the most earth-using FGs in the game, but I feel like Seism, alongside all those quicksands has way more protection than Obliterator, which results in Seism representing Earth better than Obliterator. -
: Ferox. There aren't many FGs that are based on Life to begin with, and with all of the diversity of
creatures, I feel like Ferox rightfully deserves being an embodiment of life. -
: Hermes. Do i even need to say anything? Hermes is strong, cruel and merciless as a fire elemental should be. -
: Neptune. Neptune is very balanced and calm FG, just like water he represents. -
: Miracle. I firstly intended to pick both Sun Siblings (a.k.a Miracle and Divine Glory), but only Miracle shows how to defeat an enemy by exalting creatures and "dispense blessings", as
description suggests at the start of the game -
: Octane. No FG really represents Air all that well, I'll admit. I mean, just look at the amount of
cards the weren't used in any of the FGs ! Octane only focuses on UGs and EEs, but he's still closest than other FG in representing Air and Air only. -
: Osiris. Ancient god that can both rewind and haste time? He's basically perfect! (Although, Lionheart could also work, I still feel like Osiris deserves this place a little more) -
: Hecate. She has a lot of stealing and denial cards that Darkness offers, as oppose to Incarnate, who can't really do much in terms of stealing stuff from people -
: Gemini. Celestial beings that have ability to phase in and out of existence, summon immortal beings, shoot lightning (a.k.a Lobotomize) and copy anything that can be copied. Goes without saying, Gemini are perfect for their role.
Dunno what I'm gonna do with that just yet, but who knows, what can happen.
3. Relationships.
So far I haven't looked into it much, but I have some thoughts on types relations FGs can have.
- As I've stated before, Gemini and Scorpio are spirits of Zodiac constellations, which makes them a family, cuz that's how logic works, right?
- It's probably just me, but I can't unsee Miracle and Glory being siblings. They were probably children of the Sun God/Goddess of sorts.
- All nymphs are daughters of Jezebel. She sure like to cry.
- Only exception of the rule above is Dream Catcher. I can't unsee her as Daughter of Chaos Lord. I mean, he's the only one who can actually make a nymph without summoning them (apart from Destiny, but that wouldn't explain how DC is part-abomination). And if you seen Dream Catcher, she doesn't really resemble a nymph to me. She's more of a nymph-resembling mutant.
- All FFQs and Fireflies are children of Fire Queen.
- Some gods are older than other ones. That depends on a certain FG, but I know for a fact that Decay was there before Universe existed and all that was there was unending darkness, so he's probably the first one.
4. Reasons on how FGs were turned into FGs
Depends on a certain FG, some degraded from being a True God (Decay, Rainbow, Osiris), some climbed up from being a mortal (Dark Matter, Lionheart, Graviton) and some were just born that way (Sun Siblings, Dream Catcher, Serket). I could make an entire page on how FGs became FGs, but it'd be a long thing. Really long thing. (Or I could something schematic, I dunno.)
5. True gods.
It's very questionable as to where the True Gods are, all I have is that they're gone and only trace of them ever being here is the universe that they created and the FGs that used to be True Gods.
That's all I have for now. Post your opinions and share your ideas, I would love to see what you can come up with ^_^
