Pulverizing Unstable Gas https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=12004.msg148860#msg148860

Every time I'm about to destroy an Unstable Gas using my Pulverizer, I have this weird feeling that I'll actually explode it by destroying it. Anyone else have this feeling, lol? (this might be in the wrong section, but this is quite Elements-related. If it still doesn't fit, feel free to move it, mods)

I bet if you use an explosion on it, you'll get an even bigger feeling that you'll, well, explode it.
Personally never tried it, but I'm sure I would.

Maybe change the card so that it does 10 damage to both players if destroyed? That makes some sense.

but that'll add more power to it and need a nerf

Well, see, I kinda imagine Elements battles in a more realistic. So I use this big hammer to smash stuff...when all of a sudden here's a pot of really unstable gas in the middle of nowhere. The destroy animation actually looks like the gas unleashed...I relax when I see no damage done to anything. :/

Not that I actually want UG changed. :P

Think of it like a nuclear bomb.  If you destroy or explode the triggering device the reaction does not initiate correctly and the atom never splits.1
So, if you don't specifically use the ignition on the Unstable Gas it doesn't react properly.

So basically, if you blow it up with Explosion, it is blown up so completely that even the thing that ignites the gas is blown up, thus causing the gas to not blow up?

well I see it in a literal sense, and for me unstable = not reliable, so when this card came out I thought half the time it might not blow up, and that you can't control when it goes off. So i wanted it like has a random unseen counter that explodes UG, and a blank percent chance to fail

As with all fantasy games, I'm sure there's a 'fantastic' reason why it doesn't blow up when whacked with a hammer ;)
