Shards of Gratitude https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1853.msg16047#msg16047

Hey,

I'm somewhat a new player who has been trying to learn stuff from forums and so..
and im fighting top50 to get rare cards, namely Shards of Gratitude.

And there are 2 things i'd like to ask about that.

1 - i have spend quite some hours yesterday trying to get that from players at top50, as far as i understand we only can get the cards present in our opponent's decks; and i didnt get one single. Having spend some hours, and having obtained a nice ammount of weapons, is this normal? Is there a way to improve my chance of getting the card im looking for - the Shard?

2 - i have 2 other friends who play and they got, (one of them yesterday, the other one before yesterday); that same card im looking for. However, having obtained it in the spin, the card, afterwards, was not present in either their decks or the place where obtained cards are supposed to be. Meaning, they got them in a spin roll, but they didn't get it.

Is this issue known? is this a bug that we should be aware of, like for instance , "don't press space when spinning or you may lose your cards" ?

Please comment :)

There are two different kind of shards who both look the same. (Shard of Gratitude, SHard of Divinity) So it could look like you won, but you didn't.

Yes we know that, the same card (same design and name) can upgrade to 2 different cards depending on which we actually get. I just don't know the name of the non-upgraded version; but i meant that my mates did win that one at spin roll, and didn't have the cards at all afterwards. :s

Thats the thing; both unupgraded versions are called Shard, and the pictures are the same.  Unless it actually told him he won a card, he didn't win it despite what the spins say.

oh i see i see just like... lol yea that makes sense.
In this particular case having the 3 same designs could fool us making us think we have either AAA or BBB but having like , ABA;
I didn't get that until now or by reading yeehaw's reply, my mistake heh, i'm sorry

Hum i will ask them later if they actually saw the card popping up, the animation. I don't know about that, it didn't happen to me.

Hum, what about question 1), i bet the best advice is "just keep playing at top50 hoping for luck" one but still, worth the try :p

Yes, playing t50 and hoping to get lucky really is your best bet.  Fortunately, SoG is a popular farm item these days. :)
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

I'll for sure have a 'farm deck' in T50 with only the shard of gratitude (well, and arctic octopus, but gratitude being the only shard).  So, if you can play over the weekend hopefully you'll win some... :)

Heh still trying to get it xD
Got 2 of the other shards in the meantime from AsSto or so, who only has pillars and shards of both types in his deck.

Humm  i saw you also CB! xD

I'll for sure try my luck then to get them during the weekend
I'm curious tho, why the Arctic Octopus?
