Funny tips and hints about card mechanics! ~ From a newbie. Post your own! https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=3628.msg33246#msg33246

Hello there! A friend of mine showed me this game, and it reminded me of Magic: The Gathering.. Which is a good thing. So i started playing. Do note that i'm doing quite poorly so far (*sob*) but that does not mean i can't come up with some cool little quirks. Here's what i've got so far (and note, i'm playing as death/life)

1) When you play with the Aflatoxin cards which i happen to like, you might notice that you can use them either to create an army, or prevent your opponent from getting one by filling his/her creature slots with malignant cells. This brings me to..

2) When you play the "Adrenaline" card on a malignant cell, instead of splitting into two every round it splits into five nasty little tumors, and of course does that turn after turn - very, very rapid growth.

3) When filling your opponents creature slots with the cells, if you happen to have an emerald shield, you can actually completely checkmate your opponent almost regardless of what they do. He cannot rid himself of your shield (it reflects spell effects) and all the damage from the cells will be absorbed by it. Of course you need to make sure he doesn't have any dragons and such.

Adding..
4) When someone uses the Parallel Universe card, it really is an exact copy - even buffs such as Adrenaline or Momentum get copied. FFFF

Post your own little quirky game mechanics and how you use them!

Uhhhh some tl:dr stuff that i feel like telling because i am just like that:
I know it's not very fast or efficient (believe me, having almost 50/50 win loss testifies to that) but when it works it works, and it's very fun to play against my friends i think. They have better cards than me, but can't always counter it! Also i'm not as much winwinwin oriented as i am style.. But you might've noticed that. Let me know if you wanna duel or something. :3

You may also try adding vultures+bonewall+plague
this way you gain a huge creature, and an impenetrable wall in one turn...
of course this may not necessarily increase your winning percentage, but you say it is about style...
also you may play the bonewall earlier, to survive a while longer, or use the plague to kill nasty creatures like shriekers, fire dragons, fire spirits etc...
May the force of the D4HK side be with U ^_^

Even better is Aflatoxin+vulture+bonewall+boneyard+unstable gas. That gives you tremendous vultures pretty quickly.

I like using Otyugh, Bone Yard, Bone Wall, and Firefly Queen. Firefly Queen generates fireflies, which Otyugh eat, thus causing a skeleton and more Bone Wall. :D

Unless the PU'd card is a Mutant. Then, you get another mutant using the stats and creature that you PU'd. :) Another funky strategy, this is.

Yep, max slots are 23 creature slots and 19 permanent slots.

2) When you play the "Adrenaline" card on a malignant cell, instead of splitting into two every round it splits into five nasty little tumors, and of course does that turn after turn - very, very rapid growth.

Wow, now that I did not know. It makes sense, although I would not expect this to happen. Thumbs up for you!

While this is a sound and nice strategy for some opponents, it doesn't work that well against, say, a deck like mine. I would either lightning or reverse time one of the malignant cells, then put in my otyugh and quintessence it. I could also put in  Fallen Druid to use the Malignant Cells as free mutant "food". Of course, if you have a boneyard or vulture or bone wall, you would probably benefit more than I do.

Adding..
4) When someone uses the Parallel Universe card, it really is an exact copy - even buffs such as Adrenaline or Momentum get copied. FFFF

Another one is dive, which is the foundation of "Mega-Pgasus/Wyrm decks", where a 3/4 Peasus/3/3 Wyrm uses Dive to go to 6 attack, then it is PU'd, then that Pegasus/Wyrm (which retains the extra Attack) use dive, PU, rinse and repeat. I think last time I checked, 2,688 on one Pegasus could be reached. This is merely a fun deck, though, as it would falter against False Gods unless you use the Trainer.

Post your own little quirky game mechanics and how you use them!

Cast Quitessence on a frozen/congealed creature to unfreeze/uncongeal.

Cast Quitessence on a frozen/congealed creature to unfreeze/uncongeal.
I was skeptical about this at first. So I decided to test this in the trainer with 100 power, 6 freezes, and 6 quintessences.

Here is my proof that Casting Quintessence on a frozen/congealed creature DOES IN FACT unfreeze/uncongeal them:

Rolled over frozen spark:

About to cast Quintessance (immortality) on the spark:

Spark defroze and has immortality:

Something tells me this is an unintended bug though. =/

It is intended, actually. It's a property that you can use in the game, and it was designed that way.

That's a lie. The Freezy symbol goes away, but the creature is till frozen. I've tried it.

My helpful hints:

1. Reverse time cures Poison

2. Reverse creatures that you want after their mutated. (If you mutate/improve a creature into a Purple Nymph 0/4 with dive, reverse it back into your hand and you can play it as a nymph with antimatter.)

3. If you want to play a shield, but you know it will be destroyed (explosion) steal the opponent's shield, wait for it to be destroyed then play your shield.

4. If you have an Otyugh, Ulitharid/ Mind Flayer and a Fallen Elf/Druid and the opponent has a large, dangerous creature, you can use mutation to etiehr kill the creature, make it into something with less attack, or make it into oty food.

5. Don't quit fights, ever. If you are trying to find a rarefarm in t50, fight everyone, because you might win, if not, you know which ones to skip.

Really? I should test it again.
My helpful hints:

1. Reverse time cures Poison

As well as Lobotomy, less hp (for otyughs if they haven't devoured yet), aflatoxin if it's an important creature, or just to save it from harm for one turn.

2. Reverse creatures that you want after their mutated. (If you mutate/improve a creature into a Purple Nymph 0/4 with dive, reverse it back into your hand and you can play it as a nymph with antimatter.)

This is a great idea- good for nymphs you want towards the middle of the game when you have enough quanta.

3. If you want to play a shield, but you know it will be destroyed (explosion) steal the opponent's shield, wait for it to be destroyed then play your shield.

Lol, you do realize that the enemy can send another explosion? :P Although, I do this sometimes just for the extra shield or to prevent the enemy from using his.

4. If you have an Otyugh, Ulitharid/ Mind Flayer and a Fallen Elf/Druid and the opponent has a large, dangerous creature, you can use mutation to etiehr kill the creature, make it into something with less attack, or make it into oty food.

NOT Fallen Druid, because Fallen Druid makes the enemy into a "superior mutation", the kind you don't want your enemy to have. And Fallen Elves run the risk of making superior mutations as well, but since that chance is low (which is bad if you use it on your own creatures), it makes a decent creature control in a pinch.

5. Don't quit fights, ever. If you are trying to find a rarefarm in t50, fight everyone, because you might win, if not, you know which ones to skip.
Anwers in bold.
