Tho Pantheon is almost correct in everything he has said he has missed a point of action that is different between Elements and Magic and that is enough cards to complete the endgame. Magic needs very few cards to finish the endgame, a 1|1 creature can do it. In Elements where your life count exceeds your deck size 3.3 to 1 rather than the inverse like in magic you need to muster a bigger force of effort.

Some decks simply need more than 30 cards to complete the job. If our opponent heals 50 life per turn, you need to be able to have more than 50 points of damage dealing each turn to win the game. If you can only muster 50 then you have lost. This is a reason to break the 30 card rule. God killing Rainbows are a big cuplrit of this because they need the mass quanta to get a consistant gain and also finish the end game.

- Regardless of the point above, Smaller Deck is better than larger deck if they can both fill the same role eventually. Do not take advice from Yugioh and hope to top-deck your way to victory.
