I just can't stand the boredom of killing gods for so long. I have around 120 upgraded cards and just 20k score. There's absolutely no point whatsoever for me to pursue the top 50 ranking because it would take gigantic amounts of dedication.

A suggestion for a scoring system, for the record:
- Before 10k score, rules stay as they are now
- After 10k score, each day in which you play less than 10 games you receive a -1000 score penalty for inactivity.
- After 50k score, score gains are reduced to 50% of their normal value (60 score per god mastery win with no shards)
- After 100k score, score gains are reduced to 75% of their normal value (30 score per god mastery win with no shards played)
- After 150k score, score gains are reduced 12.5% of their normal value (15 score per god mastery win with no shards played)
- No matter which rank you are, any win will give at least 15 positive score (this rule is to make non-mastery wins break even at higher "tiers" of score)

So, the idea is that after 50000 score players will have to keep increasing their winning ratios gradually, and after 150000 it will get extremely hard to progress further, and quite easy to go down, because of the requirement to play 10 daily games combined with low winning yields.
Sounds awesome, although I might make the scale a little more mathematical, should there come a day where there's  100's of players over 150K. (more of a curve).  Also would make the amount lost for inactivity scale as well.

Shouldn't be a penalty for every day- maybe have it kick in after 5 days of inactivity. People do go on vacation, work, etc.
Some people don't. The criteria being the same for everybody, it doesn't affect 'fairness', but the way I thought it, it will variates peoples scores more rapidly, allowing for more faster gaining of rank and faster losing of it. It works both ways. Also, people who are nowadays in the 100k range already make 3k, 4k, even 10k daily on extreme cases? Losing just 1k per day is very little.

Wouldn't it be better if everyone lost about 5% of their points every day? This would be much better than a fixed number like 1k. If you had low score you would only lose a little, but if you were in top-10 you have to work for it.
I think the time necessary for you to lose all your score should be proportional to the time it took you to build the score in the first place. A 5% decay would make everybody lose all their score after the same amount of time -- 20 days. Thus, a fixed number is in my opinion more fair.

sorry brain but that idea is just pure crap. If I ´d lose score for not playing I´d end up quitting not worth it.

That's not true. The 5% loss would get smaller every day so it would take nearly forever to get to zero- unless you are talking about a set 5% of the highest score ever attained.

I worked pretty diligently for my ~159k score. There shouldn't be a penalty to the time I have put in.

If it is the fact that there are good deck builders and good players with a lower score that feel left out, I would suggest a separate ranking system that is based on PvP Duel win/loss record.
