Please refrain from starting karma wars, people.

Those False Gods I see as female:
Fire Queen
Miracle
Ferox
Elidnis

Is it me, or are the "female" FGs the weaker ones? Please don't bash me for being sexist, because I am against the notion of sexism myself.

Because of gender bias, men will always think there are more male false gods than female.  They'll also associate the stronger gods as male and the ones based more on healing as female.  Light, life, and air elements will be associated as female.

I'd explain the female half, except I am not female, and cannot do so accurately ;D

I guess Destiny could be female then... But I think Rainbow, Gemini, and Divine Glory are male. And Ferox is definitely female.

I was thinking about asking the same question - then I realized that many cults and religions attribute a gender to their entities. Think of Feuerbach's "Man created God in his own image"
I'm sure you meant to put that the other way round. But yes cults and religions do sometimes attribute a gnder to their entities. However this is still incorrect, it would be obvious that should God exist (Exactly as described in the bible) then it would defy Gender due to it's nature.

But let's go back to Elements - We should note that the False Gods are indeed "False", which means that they are not actual deities but merely some powerful Elementals that like to think of themselves as Gods.
The False Gods are not Gods no. They are merely Elementals like the player but with more power and ambition who liken themselves to Gods. The Elementals however are beings of simply residual power and energy with no procreation cycle or even physical existence to speak of the game says that you are merely a spirit composed of an Element. Elementals have no gender and so neither should False Gods.

And they can have a gender (since gender is a social construct and does not require a biological distinction from the other gender).
HO RLY??

Explain yourself. How is it a social construct? When does it have no biological distinction?

I decided whether the deck features typical "male" or "female" problem-solving, survival and procreation strategies. If Chaos Lord needs to be renamed Chaos Lady, then so be it.
Explain this as well. Describe typical Male or Female problem-solving, survival and procreation strategies plz.

Hmmm, I wonder why people on here are putting Morte in with the male names. Death, which is what I translate Morte as meaning, is pretty female to me. Maybe I've read too much Sandman.

I distributed the gods 9-9 to male and female NOT based on whether their names sound boyish or girlish. I decided whether the deck features typical "male" or "female" problem-solving, survival and procreation strategies. If Chaos Lord needs to be renamed Chaos Lady, then so be it.
You must be a girl yourself right?

Either way, from this perspective Paradox has got to be a girl and that is not only by the name:

If reproducing the same tiny little problem over and over again without ever really getting anywhere isn't a typical female "problem-solving" strategy than what is?  :P

How would you come to that conclusion?

"without getting anywhere" is an evaluation of the decks quality. I tried to avoid just that... and Paradoxs problem-solving is extremely male. Quantity-based reproduction is an evolutionary strategy most fitting for the male sex and specialization in a single area of expertise/skill is a common characteristic of the male gender.

Hehe ... just the way you put things in this thread I guess.
E.g., categorizing the fgs by their problem-solving strategies and then associating females with "versatility" and "evolution" does appear to be a bit ... feministic.

Maybe it's just my famous male intuition though. ;-)

Trying to not be judgemental is also a quite female strategy.  :P

I would say that you are way too much onto that "reproduction" scheme, which might not be all that important here.
Let's just picture a fight against Paradox to be a fight in a relationship between a male and a female where the common goal is to convince the other of ones viewpoint by fielding arguments.

Paradox (plays Deja-Vu):
"Don't you think that xyz?"
Player (Q-Towers):
"Hmm ... I dont know really."
Paradox (plays RoLs, copies Dejavu):
"I sometimes get the feeling that xyz."
Player (smiling at puny 5 dmg/turn):
"Sure, whatever you say."
Paradox (supports argument: play dejavu + bless):
"xyz can cause abc, Hermes said so."
Player (threatens a counter by playing Oty):
"Ah cum on, Hermes is a dick."
Paradox (TUs blessed dejavu, thus increasing nag pressure):
"Ah yeah? So Hermes is a dick eh? That doesn't mean that xyz couldn't be the problem here!"
Player (quints Oty, eats small Dejavu):
"I dont want to talk about xyz right now. Why do you keep bloating this?"
Paradox (blesses 5/5 deja-vu up to 8/8):
"because XYZ ... XYZ!"
Player (plays phase shield):
"Jeez ... I am trying to watch the game here. We can talk about this later."
Paradox (more small deja-vus and RoLs, player doesnt really notice behind his phase shield):
"x ... z ... y .... xyz. Are you even listening?"
Player (waiting for bonewall and RoF, plays unquinted FQ):
"ahem ... hm ... yes, I hear you. But opp is more important I think."
Paradox (TUs FQ three times):
"Sure opp is important but opp is definately a part of xyz."
Player (internally laughing at uselessness of FQs for Paradox, throws out firefly and druid):
"You cant use opp against me now! I said opp ... here is what opp will be about if you keep nagging!"
Paradox (more deja-vus, PU firefly twice):
"I dont give a damn about opp. This is about XYZ! And by the way: opp, opp!"
Player (Bonewall + RoF, Oty starts finishing the rest):
"This stupid discussion is entirely over! I dont want to hear anymore of this xyz-crap!"
Paradox:
