However, on a personal view there seems to be a cycle that changes with the day and with time at each log in. In any given day 10 FGs show up alot, 5-7 others not quite as much and then rest are interspersed among them with 1-3 showing up once or never.
i thought i was the only one who notice this...whatever it is
it would be odd if the RNG to determine which FGs you faced is linked to the time you logged in but it might have something to do with the time you play, i play around the same time every day for a couple of hours and i havent faced Rainbow in weeks (of course after saying this i will face Rainbow next time i click on that Level 6 button)

That's actually not odd at all; a lot of RNG algorithms use a seed value to create a series of pseudo-random numbers, and the same seed will always produce the same series. The easiest way of getting a seed that you can reasonably assume will be unique is to take the system clock. That's why, if you write a simple program to generate a random number and run it really quickly (like multiple times per second), you'll get a lot of repeats.

I've always suspected it has to do with the random number generation that Zanz probably uses for things like the Oracle spins, FG selection, deck shuffling, etc. I've had enough strange draws and runs of the same FG 3-4 times in a row that I suspect the algorithm is bugged.

Actually, it isn't a 1/24 chance anymore. Zanz increased the chance of facing the "harder gods", like Seism.
As kobisjeruk said. Provide source or is it hearsay?

Its used to be 19 FGs and 24 FG slots so 5 FGs were listed twice and thus had a higher chance of showing up, I remember two of them Rainbow and Seism. This was perfect for when hope/fractal/rol came out. It beat them both with relative ease. But when Decay Eternal Neptune Osiris and Dream Catcher came all the FG slots became filled so now its 1/24 to get them.

But in the big picture it evens out.
I remember hearing it somewhere, but I can't find the source.

Uh kobisjeruk said that he plays around the same time each day. Different days = seed is different by around 86,400 seconds for each day = different numbers. Even if the counter did get reset each day, you'd have to click the AI6 button at the exact same time each day to the second. Don't know about you, but that'd be pretty hard for me to do :P

There are days when I'm farming AI3-4-5, that I get every opponent (at least) twice in a row (after playing the whole match ofc). I haven't played that many games yet (200-300), but I guess this doesn't support the "system clock" theory. :)
