So, a while back I set out to make a song for each element in elements. The first one was finished, but didn't get much attention. I can now add life to the list!
Death's song: http://www.kongregate.com/collabs/sounds/Gl1tch/deaths-army-revised
Life's song: http://www.kongregate.com/collabs/sounds/Gl1tch/execute-the-working-version
(Unfortunately, download rights for Life's song are currently being annoying.)
(Oh crap move to Element's Radio Kthxbai)

I really like the death song, the life song is good too but the death song really captures the theme and mood. Elements definately needs more music, I have a dozen or so creative commons licensed tracks zanz could pick from, perhaps we could come up with 12 and add them to halfbloods depending on their mark.
Great work, hope to hear some more from you.

...wow this got ignored.
Bump?

I think both of the songs are a bit too "techno", especially the Death one. Sure you could listen to it once or twice during some dramatic scene in a movie, but to listen to it dozens of times a day would get annoying very fast.
EDIT:
I would like to clarify that I do not think these songs suck. I just think they are too aggressive for background music. Some kind of atmospheric or ambient music would suit better imo.
-
The Death one is definitely better IMO, I'm not such a fan of the Life, it would probably get on my nerves.
Regarding the Death one, I think it sets an atmosphere really well, but I'm not a fan of the lightning strikes in it. Thats just my opinion.
2 Questions:
What software did you use to make these?
Are you going to continue making them?
-
Well, I'll probably have to redo the life one anyway due to file issues *grumble grumble*
I can easily take out the lightning strikes in the death one (I think, I'd have to check...)
I used garage band.
I do plan on continuing to make these. It's all part of my on-going attempt to animate an elements battle. (I made death because there's not a single card in death that would be hard to animate. Life is out because of adrenaline. I'm thinking of using air at this point...)
-
Adrenaline can be possible to animate. I'm not sure what the issue would be. all you need to do is make it so that the thing you cast it on does like 4 rapid-fire punches or similar. :)
Just make sure you don't use some stupid twinkly fairy music for light, it deserves something majestic :D
-
Death is fitting to the mood. Is nice to improvise a bit on a piano or so.
And Life...
What has that to do with Life ?
I know many people who hate techno things (or unnatural instruments ). We need non-synthetic sounding
-
Alright, I'll redo the life song.
Songs in progress:
ENTROPY! I'm going to make the bassline an astanato condensed circle of fourths with dissonance on top. Like this:
&feature=PlayList&p=1EABA1CFD6CA17AF&playnext_from=PL&playnext=1&index=38
At 3:34
Update on the movie, I'm thinking of making it an open casting call majig. It's going to take some work before officialness happens.
-
I really like the Death song, though it almost sounds evil. Death doesn't have to be evil... :D
-
well who died and made you master of death.... wait... nvm
-
I think the songs are good. I agree with Scaredgirl that listening to them a lot in one day could get quite boring. If you have time to make a suite of tunes that would rotate every battle, that would be cool. And if people don't like the music they can just turn the volume off.

I too agree -- hearing the song for my element every battle would be too much like the false god music that so many players have complained about. I'd rather hear the song for my opponent's element, which would change almost every battle (except, of course, during a set of games against the same player).
-
I was thinking it would play music to match your opponents element, which mean you'll get a different song each match. It was just a thought... =/

in kong i found a pretty good song of yours and would been good for darknes (the lonely solist)
