Elements community project - Game FAQ

Hello everybody. A while back I started a thread asking for help in writing an automatic PM that will be sent to new members (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4082.0.html). It was a great success so I thought I'd do it again, only this time it would be Elements related.

What we are building is Elements the Game FAQ that is designed to help new players. Kind of like a simple version of this: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1501.0.html

If you want to participate in this project, please write one "newbie question" and an answer to it. Like this:

	Question: How do I upgrade cards?
	Answer: You need to first finish all 7quests (http://elementswiki.co.cc/basics/quests/). After finishing the last one and picking your reward, click "Quests" to gain access to a window where you can upgrade cards. All the cards, including upgraded ones, can be found here (http://elementswiki.co.cc/elements/).

Question: How do I get a weapon, or other cards not in the Bazaar?

Answer: These cards that you are chasing are considered Rare. Rare cards cannot be bought but must be earned from various tasks. One of the Quests will let you choose a Rare Weapon once completed. Playing against the AI might let you spin a Rare Card. Visiting the Oracle each day may give you a Nymph or other Rare Card. Playing in a Sponsored Tournament and winning may let you choose a Rare Card. Note that Nymphs may only be granted by the Oracle or as a Tournament prize.

Something like that.

So if you want to participate, please write a question and and answer (don't worry about the colors or styling). If many people join this project, we will get a nice little FAQ going.

WTF? A hacker in just made his mark x2. His name was Sir Hackalot*.

Actually, that's not a hack. Mark cards can be obtained by winning a tournament (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,77.0.html). In the past, they were also winnable from the slots, but now it's replaced in the spins by a Relic (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,2443.0.html).

It's a Relic (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,2443.0.html). It's what replaces Nymphs and Mark cards in the slots, as they can only obtained from tournaments (Nymphs can also be gotten from the Oracle).

Definitely needs to go in FAQ. Even I asked this question along with the 50+ others who had no idea what it was. Props Xdude.

WTF, some guy is H4X0R-ing me. He keeps changing marks, and healing himself to 200 health each turn!

Chances are, this person isn't hacking. It's a bug known as desync, and it can cause all kinds of strange things to happen, including mark changing and full health healing. Your best bet is to re-do the game. Of course, there is a small chance the person you're facing IS a hacker, in which case, you should report it by sending a PM to the Administrator of the forums, Scaredgirl.

I jumped right into the game, and decided to just face a random AI opponent.  Why did he have more than 60 cards and 200 hit points?

You most likely hit the AI Level 5 button, which are Half-Bloods.  The terms of those challenges include allowing the AI to break the rules, including using more than 60 cards, using a few upgraded cards, and having twice the starting health.  Level 5 is not suggested for new players.

What is fastest way to make money?

Q: I was winning a game but all of a sudden it said that I lost.  What happened?

A: The most likely cause of this is that your opponent used a spell, such as Fire Bolt or Life Drain on you when they had a large amount of the proper quanta.  The spell did enough damage to kill you, and many times the game goes to the lose page before you have a chance to see the card animation.

Q: PvP is boring, i always win. How can i find better oponents?

A: Join Chat (http://elementschat.co.cc) first. There you can find people willing to play PvP nearly 24/7, you can also join Beginners League (http://elementswiki.co.cc/pvp/beginners-league) or even Champions Leage (http://elementswiki.co.cc/pvp/championship-league), but read rules carefully first.
