Elements' Birthday Coming Up https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=4230.msg41678#msg41678

Hey all,

May 10th, 2009, Elements was born (at least the first beta version, according to the flashkit forums (http://board.flashkit.com/board/showthread.php?t=794854)).

Elements is arguably the best free online game, and definitely has to be the best free collectible card game.  Many of you know that Elements is created and maintained by one person, Zanzarino.  He gives us new content, fixes bugs, polices hackers, etc.  He also has a full time life.

One of the greatest things about Elements has always been the community.  From the community came this forum, the wiki, organized competitions, etc.  Zanz has been really good (especially lately) about giving us new content and features we'd like to see in the game.  And he doesn't have to keep the game free, but he does.

Here's my challenge: The week of May 10th, 2010, everyone (who is able) make a donation to Zanz.  It's quite easy to do via Paypal from the link in the game.  I don't know about you, but this game is easily worth $10-20 if you had to purchase it from a local store.  I know not everyone will be able to donate, and that's one of the reasons this post is so early.  Surely between now and May 10th all of us can come up with something to donate.  I also realize that many of us have already have donated.  I just think it would be cool if everyone would get Elements' developer a birthday present.

Let's come together as a community and show Zanz in a very real way how much we appreciate all the hard work he's put into the game.

Who's with me?

No worries, MoD, I'll donate a little extra on your behalf. :)  I donate about once a month, but I'll make a big one for Element's birthday. :)
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Yeah, there needs to be some serious marketing for the one year anniversary of this amazing game. Kids who play this game (and there are many) should ask their parents if they could donate for them. If you have a job of any kind, donate.... doit. It's really not much. You can save five bucks over the next two months, seriously. Doit.

I haven't played this game for a long time, yet I feel an urge to donate. It seems as if Zanzario puts a lot of hard work into this game. I'll try to give 5 or 10.

I have no objections to Donating but I do have issue with Paypal.

I wish there were some more options to pass on money like Clothing and Novelty items.

The Malignant Cell Etched in Glass would go pro in my Skulls Collection.

There's a thread about T-shirts, and I have some ideas of my own for Elements merch. Until then, people will have to make do with direct payments via PayPal.

Yeah, I'll have to ask Zanz about the t-shirt thing.

Good thing this came up because I had totally forgotten about it.

I can just see the look on the parent's faces. "You want to donate to WHAT?"
