I have been reading a few threads and people are under the impression that elves are better than druids when getting rid of creatures, ( making it so oty can eat them ) but really druid is still much better. Elf is basically 5/5 , mutant, or death, when druid is just mutant. Now, I see more creatures with less than x/5 than I see with more than x/5. Also, most gods can't even use the abilities that mutants can use since they're usually a different element. So, why do people think elves are betters?

Because Elf has 50% to turn it into an Abomination, 40% to turn it into a mutant, and it has a 10% chance to kill it.

So... 10% makes it better. I stand by Druid, way better in all cases.

Your Oty is most of the times over 5 (it needs just one guzzle). So, the elf is clearly better.
60% is outright good. 40% the same as the druid.
Considering that in this 40% you can get immortal creatures too, it is definitely better if they just die without the Oty.

Well it comes down to what strategy you are using. Playing a Elf vs Gemini and his massiv dragons improves you chances if the card gets killed or turns into mutant. Druid would always make a crazy mutation so is lees effectiv.
Elf you use aganst your opponenet and Druid you use on yourself. That is why some prefer Elf over druid.

I use druid and much prefer it because it has a 0% fail rate. I rely pretty heavily on good mutants to supply massive damage. But i usually end up with some creature that has the mutation ability so i can mutate/abominationize/kill the opponents strong monsters, making them usually devourable for my oty.
