Rank the following in difficulty from 0 to 10, with 0 being laughably easy that you can win with your eyes closed, and 10 being near impossible. This is to get an idea of where the big difficulty spikes are in EtG and how to rectify that or smooth out the learning curve and difficulty escalation.

You do not have to use every number.
You can reuse numbers.
You can use a range like 3-5 if the difficulty is variable.

Yes, numbers can overlap. You cal also do a range like 3-5 for something that you're unsure of or is random. You also don't have to use every number and can reuse numbers.

0 = ai0, ai1, ai2.  These are beatable with the default starter deck you get
1 = ai3.  These aren't too hard to beat starting out, though the ones with ice shields and dimensional shields are tougher
2 = pvp1.  Usually new players
3 = pvp2.  Usually new players, but occasionally one shows up with a bunch of upgrades that's tougher to beat
4 = ai4.  There's a fairly big jump between ai3 and ai4, although I haven't played ai4 since the nerf to 150hp.
5 = bronze arena.  Harder than ai4 because they aren't random decks.
6 = silver arena
7 = FGs.  Easier than gold/plat due to being able to build decks that can beat most of them
8 = gold arena.  Not predictable like FGs
9 = platinum arena

PvP duel is hard to fit on here, since it can vary quite a bit.  Sometimes it's no harder than pvp2, but other times it's as tough as the toughest FGs/plat.  I have a higher win rate in tourneys/league than I do against plat arena, so it's less than that in difficulty.  It's probably somewhere in the 7-9 range on average.

AI0=11
Spoiler for Hidden:
Hell, I haven't met a person who can beat AI0! Rated 11 for unbeatable.
AI1=1
Spoiler for Hidden:
Pretty much what you'd expect from a trainer
AI2= 3
Spoiler for Hidden:
Yes. It's really hard actually. I find it being slightly overpowered. Don't laugh at me, you and I were newbies once too. And not sure if anyone remembers, but elements isn't just your casual game that everyone can understand. In the beginning people don't know how to make a rush deck. They don't know how to make a good duo deck. They don't know shit about quanta management, CC and PC. So it should be nerfed. A lot. IMO.
AI3= 4
Spoiler for Hidden:
Not exactly what you would start off grinding as a newbie unless A: you get the idea of elements as in everyone uses decks that are really powerful to grind AI3 for money to grind FGs to get upped cards to get..... or B: You get the idea of elements as you are able to see the "useless" cards in a deck and manage to actually make a good farming deck and be proud of yourself. Most people in A realize they're not even playing the game because they're just clicking cards in a deck they ripped off the internet.
I love how I can say "Most people" while I only know that I myself did it just to make my point seem more valid yet nobody really cares since they do it too. (See, I did it again!)
AI4= 10
Spoiler for Hidden:
Why? Cause it's not worthy of grinding, that's why!
A 60+ card deck with double drawing, double (or triple) mark and 150 hp, upped and unupped variants of the same card that make you go FML when you get like 2/3 upped cockatrice and the last spin is unupped cockatrice.... Just... Suboptimal.
FGs = 6-8
Spoiler for Hidden:
It varies because it's all about the deck you want to make. If you want rol/hope you just have to spend a lot of time (yet just a few minutes compared to how much you have to grind for other FG farmers) grinding AI3, which adds 2 to the difficulty. Once you're finished, though, it's not that hard. All about the deck.
PvP1 = 4.
Spoiler for Hidden:
You can grind PvP1 with an AI3 deck and still have a decent winrate. Kind of sad, once you think about it. Profitable, nonetheless.
PvP2 = Null
Spoiler for Hidden:
IDKCUZIHAVNTPLAYDITLULZ
Bronze = 5
Spoiler for Hidden:
Somewhere between AI3 and AI4. Annoyance level is over 9000, though.
Come on, who doesn't get mad when they see a 193 HP deck in bronze? Who doesn't get mad when they face a mono aether and don't have any steals?Who doesn't get mad when their last game before the 5/5 spin is some generic rush like liferush or shrieker rush or some grabbow or lava golem shit. AND THEY WIN.
Also, liferush is op, period.
Silver = Null
Spoiler for Hidden:
same as PvP2, sadly. No patience to grind for an upped deck for silver. None found anyway.
Gold = Same as silver.
Platinum = lolno
PvP duels (as in tournaments and forum PvP events)=0-10.
Spoiler for Hidden:
Self-explanatory.

There is no "Big Crunch". The very idea of it is idiotic. If the expansion of the universe, caused by the big bang, is, in fact, what causes the flow of time, how would the big bang happen in the first place, without the universe expanding, thus time not flowing in any particular direction?

AI0 - 0, by virtue of being the tutorial.
AI1 - 1, sometimes the AI gets lucky with it's random cards but otherwise a pushover.
AI2 - 3 - If you don't know what you're doing at this point you'll get beat, but if you've figured out a bit about deck efficiency you won't have too much trouble.
AI3 - 4-5 - Where the 'starter difficulty' of the game begins. Difficulties vary between 4 and 5 based on what deck you face each time.
AI4 / "Half Blood" - 8-9 - The unpredictably will throw most players for a loop if they're not careful. Aside from being the worst to farm, they're the most variable (though this does not mean they are the strongest.)
False God - 7-10 - This will vary depending on how far you're in the game, and especially based on everything in your deck. Some matchups are laughable at best, while others generally force played to autoquit.
PvP1 - 2-6 - Depends on who you're playing. You'll generally run into a newb (2-4), but if you run into a decent player things can get interesting (5). On the off chance you meet a PvP pro, diffuclity becomes a 6.
PvP2 - 4-7 - I do not play PvP2 often, but like PvP1 it seems to range from the greatly inexperienced to the actually bored pro.
Bronze - 4 on for individual fights. 5 if you're trying to fill all rings.
Silver - 5 all around if you know what you're doing. (and you should at this point. :P ) If you're not ready/don't have a lot of ups can go to 6.
Gold - 7-8 Feels like a step up from Silver for the most part, like it should. I feel this is where 'starter difficulty' switches to 'expert difficulty'.
Platinum - 10, if the deck in question is serious. No mercy applies when it comes to actual defensive decks here, since this is basically "Build your own False God.". (Farms obviously don't count)
PvP Duels - Depends on the event rules, but a lot more skill is involved and you'll have to go against the same opponents repeatedely, so prediction and deckbuilding to avoid counters is a must. 8-10, depending on the restrictions of the event you get.

Okay, I'm going to leave out 0-7 because they are AI based matches for me.

I have pretty much figured out how to create a strong opposition against the "dumbed down" computer. Over time it became quite easy to find an appropriate combo after seeing what the AI decks were like and or how the AI uses cards. Even the best player made deck can sometimes be horrendous in the arena because of how the AI plays.

Saying this, The most difficult thing for me thus far has been PvP1 and 2. Although I find PvP2 easier, making an attempt to build deck for both has always been a challenge for me. 'Duels' helps a bit, as well as tournaments and PvPE, but in the long run I have yet to find that I have excelled much in that area.

PvP: 8-10

Let me post what I think.
AI0-0
Spoiler for Hidden:
No difficulty at all. Any coherent deck can beat it
AI1-0
Spoiler for Hidden:
Just twice the hp of AI0. Nothing special, still super easy
AI2-1
Spoiler for Hidden:
Pre-built decks. Not very good pre-built decks
AI3-3
Spoiler for Hidden:
Pre-built decks with an actual strategy. Newer players who rush here after AI2 might find some trouble, but nearly any rush deck that's built can beat AI3 easily
AI4-(5-7)
Spoiler for Hidden:
Yeah. 150hp and triple mark along with upped cards. Even with random decks, they pose quite a challenge
FGs-8
Spoiler for Hidden:
Pre designed decks with 200hp, triple mark, dexterity, and full ups. Ouch.
PvP1-(2-4)
Spoiler for Hidden:
Mostly noobs, but occasionally you'll bump into someone good
PvP2-(3-7)
Spoiler for Hidden:
Random opponents, some good, some bad
Bronze-4
Spoiler for Hidden:
A good transition spot after AI3
Silver-6
Spoiler for Hidden:
Getting harder now
Gold-7
Spoiler for Hidden:
Pretty difficult decks now
Platinum-(6-9)
Spoiler for Hidden:
Some are weaker than FGs due to not being level 80, but these decks have strategy and plenty of shards
PvP duels (as in tournaments and forum PvP events)-(7-9)
Spoiler for Hidden:
Like regular pvp, only there's no noobs or bad players
