Death and Darkness. The new fire?

So with the nerf of immolation/deflagration, and the inclusion of Shard of sacrifice. Have death and darkness decks become the new fire? killer decks that dominate the Arena?

Death and Darkness have gotten a lot better in Arena, but Fire and Rainbows are generally more powerful in PvP, just like before.

Is that because they are actually better? or is that just cause most people have a developed fire or rainbow deck that they know how to use well, and less people have good death or darkness decks?

Probably. Poison+SoSa+arena's ungodly amount of hp is probably what caused it.

It's funny because Arena Death decks have become stronger mainly due to making use of Shard of Sacrifice's appearance into the game.  Darkness has gotten stronger because it counters the grinders using SoSa in their decks.  The Death decks do this as well, just not quite to the same effect.

Vampire heals damage dealt by Poison which is very commonly used with SoSa in grinding decks.  Devourer also steals the quanta needed for some of those decks.
Death uses SoSa itself to counter Poison used in SoSa decks.  Which is pretty ironic honestly.

So annoying to see a deck play 12 SoD, then chain 12 SoSa, and when you finally break the chain, miracles all over.

I would love to see the deck of water as strong as the fire one day.
But probably it will never happen. Never win cards as good as fire and darkness.

Darkness is complete. Like Fire is. That's why they are strong and popular.

Death is only good because of the SoSa/Poison combo. Without SoSa, it's a "normal" element. With it, it's top tier. It's so often a water/death deck in top of platinium...
