Elemental Card Count Balance https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=9355.msg110475#msg110475

Obviously different elements are supposed to have different strengths and weaknesses so they should have different amounts of different card types, however, I noticed some elements lacked certain cards and had much more or less than other elements...so I decided to compile the data here:

I will divide card types into 5 groups:
-Creatures
-Spells (includes Alchemy cards; alchemy cards come in bottle-like containers and are used by nymphs as abilities)
-Weapons
-Shields
-Other Permanents (Perms that arent weapons i.e. emphatic bond, flood, etc.)

Pillars will be included in the "Card Count"

Another parameter that should be taken into account is the quality of the cards in each subcategory. Take Earth and Death, for example. Both have six creatures, but the quality of the creatures in Earth absolutely crushes the quality of the creatures in Death, especially when upgraded. I don't think these parameters should necessarily be included in this listing, but they are clearly a testament to elemental balance.

yea...i was thinking of that and of dividing creatures into ones with abilities and ones without and dividing spells into CC, Buffs, Quanta Generation, etc...but i think that would be too complicated...i just sort of wanted to point out that some elements like :water have a lot more options with 15 different cards while :aether only has 11...also :water has 7 creatures while poor :light and :aether have only 4 creatures (2 of which being photon and spark)

Gravity/Aether seem to have the low side of the scale, but aether has immortal cards, and it isn't made to have a lot of cards anyways, but I do think gravity needs a buff.

i think  :life needs a buff...some people say they're supposed to be a creature spam yet they're on the low end of the creature count...others say they're a healing element yet they're on the lower end of the spells as well... on the bright side, they do have 2 really expensive shields that dont really fit into many decks  ::)

Life needs a buff? If it's something life doesn't need, it's more creatures. It's not about amount, it's about quality. Quality > Quantity for cards.

Gravity has some of the strongest cards in the game.

:death creatures are just bad. I dont count skellies as creatures nor cards  :)) The only really good creature :death has is upgraded spider.
Similar thing can be said for :time creatures.

On the other hand, "below average" elements like :fire or :life have great creatures. It is hard to measure balance through card count only.

There's something to be said about low count card for :aether. Yeah, that element doesnt have much cards, but those cards are extremely strong and valuable, that there is no FG killer deck without fractal or quint.

It is definitely interesting to see all stats like this though.
