I had thought crusaders were an OK card.

Then, I discovered their synergy with flying weapon.
You may not know this, but the endow ability, if used on a flying weapon (weapon creature), will always take the attack of the creature, even if that creature has been buffed.

Anyways, I was messing around in the trainer, and I had a flying vampire dagger, that I had used a blessing on, to get to 9 attack.   Then, I used sky-blitz doubling the attack of the flying weapon (airborne).

I endowed it while it was flying, and the crusader gained 20 attack and the vampire ability. I slapped an immaterial on it, and the match was easy.

You are right but remember that this is quite a big card-combo.

You need:
- A Weapon (vamp dagger in this example)
- Crusader
- Flying Weapon
- Blessing/CP

That's a 4 card minimum combo, all cards you have to draw at the right time and you need the quanta to play it all.

A nice combo nonetheless :D

Aside from the sky blitz, this combo is nothing new as I remember seeing the Vader Saders deck based on this concept posted quite some time ago.  It certainly can be a very powerful combo when it works right but in order to do so, you basically need to have your entire deck based on around it.  This combined with the number of cards involved makes it VERY vulnerable to a number of different counters.  Eternity or gravity shield for instance will completely shut you down and worse yet if your opponent has antimatter or even a crusader of their own, they can use your own combo against you

this idea is actually quite workable with a rainbow deck. it would need quite a few hourglasses though.

Crusader is a really cool card o-o
It's mechanics work with any of the Weapons.
I personally think it's the most annoying with Vampire Dagger, Eagle Eye, or Eternity.

if you use eagle eye, then the weapon and the sky blitz are of the same element, narrowing your deck down to a air/light duo. o yeah, and blessings are also light.

Vader 'Saders has one advantage over the other weapon builds however, in that it heals as it gets stronger.  I love it that build.  Its nice to see the power shift with Crusader as well.

I originally thought that Crusader was going to be one of those new cards that are so ever rarely used, but I was dumbfounded stupified when seeing how many different possibilites these crusaders bring. Endless rewinds, endless destroys, endless healing, endless poison, etc. it has become quite a formidable cards ;)
