Recently i've been considering mutants and the various perks with them hopefully this will be useful to people in the future and the people currently playing but not 100% sure on the perks of mutants. I not saying i'm an expert on them and i am probably not the best one for writing an overly legible thread but i will try my best.
let's start with the basics:
unupped mutation has three possible results
1. a mutant: 40% chance
2. an abomination:50% chance
3. killing it's target: 10% chance
- A mutant is always an unupped creature whether you mutate an upped or unupped card
- a mutant will have an ability that will cost one or two quanta of the element that the creature belongs to
- when killed by afla it becomes an ordinary cell
now the perks once you actually get a mutant:
- firstly if a mutant is rted back to your hand if will become a normal form of the creature
- using pu on a mutant will create a mutant of the same creature with either the same stats or a boost of less than 5
- a mutant that is boosted by a buff like blessing that is pued will incorporate the increased stats in the clone. This is also true for a reduced health mutant that has been hit by cc but not killed
- a mutant with the dive ability that has used it cloned will have new stats based on its stat pre-dive
- using rt on a mutant skellie will result in another mutant
- a mutant that uses a hatch ability will turn into another mutant
- when a mutant is killed by skull shield it becomes a mutant skellie
- a mutant with mitosis will create child creatures that are the normal form of the mutant
- using rt on a mutant mummy will result in a mutant pharoah (need to test this)
- remutating a mutant with momentum or andreneline will result in a mutant or abom (for unupped) with andrenaline or momentum or both
- any form of infection on a mutant will be carried over to new mutants from that creature or clones of that creature
- an immaterial mutant that is killed by skull shield will turn into an immaterial normal skellie
- casting quint on a mutant removes the mutant ability so any effects that activate on mutants become the same as a normal creature
