Clans

In a game I was formerly a part of (now defunt Lords of Legend) we had clans. These were across racial boundaries as elves, dwarves etc fought alongside orcs and trolls. My point is that maybe it would be an interesting idea once the Element vs Element war is over that we do something like that were we can have clans that would gather battle leading to a top clan.

There would have to be some rules of course but I am unsure what they would be.

Personally I would like to give this a shot if there is enough interest.

Well, this is sort of like Demagog's team PVP event.  On an old forum of mine, we had improptu legions.  The first one was the dark ones legion, and for a while it had a monopoly, and all the emo idiots and people who fantasize about evil joined, because they didn't understand evil.

To counter, I made the goofy ones legion, which generally made a mockery of themselves and the other legion.  This balance was a very good one, as the evil person tried to attack us, and we made fun of him and posted in pretty rainbow colors, pretending we couldn't read his words unless he followed suit.  Eventually he broke down, much to our chagrin.

All that aside, I (un)officially start the goofy ones clan/legion.  All aboard!

Glad this has some traction. The idea is that the masters do not have to involve themselves in a clan. They can of course if they want but that is up to them.

Ya, the team PvP was partially an idea to have clans. I figured real clans would actually be extremely difficult to implement, and we already have the war, and soon WoE (if that happens). So anything clan-like would probably have to be on a smaller scale.

I would say it would depend on the people involved. Basically someone would gather a group together call it a clan and declare their own war against another clan. At the moment the Goofy clan by Gl1tch is the only one in the forum so they are automatically the winners. This could change if someone else started one up.

This is not designed to take away from the main wars but others that aren;t involved can then have there own play time as well.

Yes that is a good idea, but part of this is also allowing people to create clans that have more than one element. An | clan forinstnace would have some advantages in a clan war over a pure clan but then again it depends on how you play.

also a difficult but very awesome thing to implement in this clan thing is a specific chat for a clan

this doesnt haver to be on elements home page it could be using a specific type of chat program like palringo for one

also im starting a new clan right now :

" the knights alliance"
