Alright, here is my tier list for Elements Shards. Doing a tier list for a game like Elements is difficult. Some cards, while terrible on their own, may synchronize greatly with other cards. This tier list is based on
unupgraded shards.
Disclaimer; This Tier list is NOT for beginners nor is it made to influence any deck building choices. Purely for discussion purposes. So I will need to breakdown the ratings by a couple different aspect.
What the ratings, in order of importance, will be based off;
- Shards Ability
- Ability to synchronize with multiple elements
- Shards Cost
Today's Tier list will be Shards.
S Tier
Shard of Patience makes any deck that has creatures more difficult to defend. It counters many shields, stalls, and devour. It works with every element.
Shard of Freedom gives any airbourne creature godlike abilities. If used in an Air deck, it is very difficult to counter. Most elements have airbourne creatures so fits in with many decks.
A Tier
Shard of Focus can be used to counter almost every permanent and also has the blackhole ability once used enough times. The only reason its not in S tier is due to its creature-type, making it vulnerable to CC.
Shard of Readiness is a very versatile card. It excels in Time decks but can be used with any element to reduce quanta cost of abilities to 0. While not needed in many decks, it creates possibilities when using on cards that have an off-element ability without needing a quanta source.
B Tier
Shard of Sacrifice can be used to turn a losing game into a winning game. The reason its not on a higher tier is it must be used before you are below 48 hp cutting its late game use out.
Shard of Bravery can make rush decks more rushy. It can be used to force a deck out from your opponent. It does not tier higher because it can backfire by setting up your opponents hand.
C Tier
Shard of Divinity and Shard of Gratitude both offer healing effects. While many games may not last long enough to be needed, in longer games, these can be a life saver
D Tier
Shard of Void can put pressure on your opponent when played early in the game, however it is very slow and unless stacked, it is usually rendered useless.
Shard of Wisdom can make Aether decks nearly impossible to defend against. Even though it does give a nice Atk boost, other cards can do the same thing with less cost.
F Tier
Shard of Integrity and Shard of Serendipity both require the deck to built around them. When done correctly, they prove to be very good, but both lack versatility and do not support, but rather lead the deck.
Edit 1: added explanations to why each Shard placed where it does
