Can someone please update me?

Alright, I'm an old Elements player, I "retired" about halfway through the very first war, due to school things.

I pretty much forgot about this game, but a friend started playing it, and wants my help.

Can anyone update me on the things that have been happening since the time I left? New cards, card changes things like that?

Well considering War #1 went from about May - July 2010 you must've left around Jun 2010.

These were the most recent updates, patch-wise:

Yes, that seems about right. I recall Steam Machine was in development right around when I left.

A lot has changed! The forum for one, looks completely different, a lot more organized.
New deck strategies, AI improvements, wow, I have a lot to catch up on.

I --was-- in the first war, on Team Air. I'm glad I sound familiar to some of the older players.

Ahh. You guys were still living when I left I believe. Earth  was owning it up with their all-star line up. :3

Do you have any suggestions for a "grinding" deck, now that the AI3 has changed? Do the old Shrieker Rush, Lava Golem, Adrenaline - Frogs decks still make up the most efficient ones?

I checked Jmizz's post in the Newbie Help section (about making a good AI3 grinder), and it doesn't seem like it's changed at all.

The old decks from the newbie section still work, just not with as good a win percentage from my experience with a few of them.

Well, some stuff changed. I haven't been here for too much, but the AI3 list has been changed, and it's a bit harder now.

Shrieker rush is still great, lava golem with immolation is awesome (better for T50) and adrena-frogs owns too, but there are some good new stuff you might want to try
