Built-in statistics tool for Elements?

There has been a growing demand of players wanting to keep track of their game and deck stats. This has even lead to some users producing custom statistics scripts to run alongside with Elements. This can however cause all kinds of problems.

Elements developer suggested that we had this little poll to get some opinions on whether or not a built-in statics tool would be useful. If there is a huge demand for this, tool will most likely be to the game at some point. It would show simple statistics like number of turns.

Before voting, please consider that everything the developers do, take time. For example, if the developers spend their time doing this statistics tool, they will spend less time producing new cards. We cannot have everything we want, which is why we need to make a choice. If you think this statistics tool is important, vote yes. If you rather have developers working on something else, vote no.

Besides number of turns, what other data should this tool show? Please post ideas here. Thanks.

i love this idea personally. There are a good number of decks i would like to see ttw on with an in-game tool, would make it so much more useful, since the stat tool now only records FG wins. Also, could the stat tool include W/L ratio as well. All in all love it.

Let those that are dedicated to the game work to collect their research and not have the masses be spoon-fed.

Time permitting, I'd rather new cards instead, as it's this that we, the players, can't make happen ourselves. Statistics on the other hand, we can.

While this would be a good idea for everyone to use to see how their deck fares against other pretested decks...I can see how this might be abused.  For instance, people will find ways to submit statistics which have been altered to suggest greater speed/less time than what it really should.  It is for this reason that I oppose this suggestion.

I like statistics stuff like that.

I, for one, would like to know which quanta is produced by Quantum towers, how much per turn, etc.

Your deck's win ratio could be kept automatically a built in tool.

How often cards are actually played, not just how often they are present in your deck.

Maybe electrum won in a certain amount of time: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, etc.

At least at this point, seeing how there hasn't been an update for a LONG time, I'm really ambivalent about the issue. I mean, it *could* be useful, but wouldn't we like new cards and updates more, because we like changes?

Anyways, I voted for the second option.

I wouldn't expect this to happen anytime soon(if at all), maybe in 5+ updates from now it would be good. It all depends on Zanz and how easy/hard it would be for him to encode it. There is already a basic statistic working in the server end, as we've seen him post before.

Big 'Maybe' for me as well.

I respect the idea of statistics, and as such, if a tool like that were implemented, I would love to see these type of stats on the spreadsheet as more 'fun' data:
-Number/type of False Gods you faced with a deck (when you change the deck, your stats are erased, but otherwise, it could be provided in the trainer perhaps to make it easier for deck testers to research anti-FG strats)
-Number/type of cards won (Just a little bonus. This could be a recurring stat that would be nice to show off; "Oh, you think -YOU- won a lot of upped cards against Paradox? Well here..." etc.
-Oracle Spin stats (what elements are spun onto the most by you, what cards you win, average amount of electrum obtained on a daily basis - total amount of nymphs won from these spins?)

Just a big suggestion though. I could live without it, but I'm sure a lot of people would also like to see statistics on the game somewhere. ^^;

I think it's a cool idea too, but like others, I feel it is lower on the priority list.

More important right now is fixing bugs (Especially Desync), and increasing the card pool.

Too many other WAY more important things to work on than a statistics tool, as someone said earlier, people who care about this stuff can calculate it themselves, let's get some much-needed improvements/additions in the game first before something like this is focused on.

i would really love to see a ingame stat-tool.

gathering the right stats for a certain deck is not that hard, but people do some mistake sometimes (like not counting the first or the last turn for ttw e.g.).

a official statistic tool would increase the reliability of any posted stat.
it would also help less experienced players to determine a deck performance.

stats i'd like from such a tool:
  • turns to win
  • win ratio of a deck(code)
  • time spend for a fight (this is the most imprecise data to measure yet)
  • electrum gained from a deck(code)

of corse there are other things that are more important right now.
( :life would have been a bit more dangerous in the war, if flying discord and adrenaline would work^^).

I'm all for statistics in-game, though it's possible to collect them without help from within the game itself. Thus I'm between yes and maybe (yes, but really not that desperate :P).

Stats that are useful (basically a lot of what hrmm said):
- cards won
- turns to win
- electrum won and lost
- win rate
- EM rate (from the won matches)
- average time per game (including the time from losses, rage quits)

Would be nice if it automatically reset itself every time you switch decks, and that it can be turned on and off. Don't have it in too plain sight or we'll get a spam of noobs asking what it does :P
