Well, I got bored today and made a spreadsheet comparing all of the creatures in Elements and their quanta costs and such. A little further on, and I decided I would try and quantify (sorry, couldn't resist) each card's "worth" or "value" in comparison to one another. I hate to say my results are flawed. Interesting, but I'm sure there's some level of bias in there that probably defies fixing. The math is consistent, but there are little ways that favor small cards (Ball Lightning) or big Dragons on their "value", so if anyone would like to propose alternative algorithms, I'll gladly consider them and credit you if I include them, which I probably would.Only a few abilities, such as those that raise stats, are included (with the ability to change them in the spreadsheet), therefore stuff like Elite Charger or Elite Phase Dragon miss an important part of the card. Others get by due to a glitch in the algorithm, such as Ball Lightning, which does provide 5 free damage, a ratio that can't be beaten by any other card. Thats not to say my results are immediately invalidated as is, its just that they careful consideration. With any luck, this will help out with exploring these cards a bit more.
Calculating Worth 1: (ATK/COST)*(ATK*6/100); this is intended to provide an attack vs cost that includes the maximum damage factor by having 6 cards in play, so that Photons and such don't have warped stats.
Calculating Worth 2: (ATK/COST+DEF/COST)*(ATK*6/100); this is intended to do the same as above, but include the defensive stat as well.
Calculating Total Worth: An average of the two Worths so far. I'm sure there's a better way that I haven't thought of.
All data is unlocked, or should be, for ease of editing and experimenting. There is also a small glitch with 0 cost creatures where it calculates the cost as 1 quanta to avoid a dividing by 0 error.
Also, a thanks to
