One of the things I enjoy most about Elements are some of the unique weekly tournaments that peeps comes up with. About a month or two there was a tourney with a limited card pool to choose from, and it wasn't revealed until the tourney began and you had 15 minutes to construct a deck. Totally loved it, reminded me of a seal deck tourney.
My idea is for the Tournament designers, to use the "Bracketing number" (the number assigned to a player randomly by the bracket builder) to add more unique tournament rules from time to time.
Simple example of just using odds/evens
Bracket # = even you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = odd you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
This was inspired by Elements first WAR. Marks are listed from last to first.
Bracket # = 1,13,25,37,49,61 you must use Mark
of for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 2,14,26,38,50,62 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 3,15,27,39,51,63 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 4,16,28,40,52,64 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 5,17,29,41,53 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 6,18,30,42,54 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 7,19,31,43,55 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 8,20,32,44,56 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 9,21,33,45,57 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 10,22,34,46,58 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 11,23,35,47,59 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
Bracket # = 12,24,36,48,60 you must use Mark of
for the entire tournament
You could use the above list and add you must play a mono deck based on your mark.
Or instead of using all 12 Elements you can limit to just 3 or 4 elements.
Bracket # = 1,4,7,10,etc.. (A player can choose one of the following
for his mark and that players deck can only contain cards from those elements .)
There's a lot of options, I would say the only downfall is the Tournament Organizer would have more to explain to first timers. Which can be a daunting task at times.
