Best Shield in Elements?

Bone Wall - seven attacks of stall
Fire shield - deals damage.

my top 3 shields 1.phase 2. bone wall 3. permafrost. to me phase is the best because it stalls for 3 turns and tht is guaranteed (unless stolen or destroyed). the phase shield is the perfect 'shield.' it blocks away all damage and does it for 3 turns. the other shields either rely on something (quanta, deaths) or let some damage in. i am being kinda bias because aether is my fav element, but i personally think aether has the best shield. if there r any downsides to the aether shield plz tell me

I can destroy your shield with: Explosion, Butterfly Effect, Pulverizer, Destroy (Mutant ability)
I can completely bypass your shield with: Poison, Momentum, Fire Lance, Ice Lance, Siphon Life
I can use your shield against you with: Steal, Steal(Mutant ability)
I can simply deny you from using your shield with: Discord, Devourers

Most of those are downsides to any shield. (Immortal ones can't be destroyed, some shields reflect spells, but other than that, the weaknesses are the same.)

Most of those are downsides to any shield. (Immortal ones can't be destroyed, some shields reflect spells, but other than that, the weaknesses are the same.)

Arguably, the stealing is significantly worse for phase shield than others. Although most people pack more phase shields in a deck than other shields, when you lose one to steal you can't do anything for 2 turns as well as losing 3 turns of your immunity. So whereas a full phase shield deck can give 18 turns of immunity, after a single well-timed steal you have 15 turns of immunity, 2 of which you can't damage your opponent, so effectively 13 turns. That's with just one steal.

Actually, they ARE downsides to phase shields. You announced out loud that there weren't any downsides to phase shields, so I pointed out the downsides. Honestly, you can't really say "____ shield is the best". Certain shields are better than others in certain situations. Fire shield and Thorn Carapace kill immortal decks and decks with small hp creatures, while they aren't as effective against massive dragons. Mirror Shield and Jade Shield are great against UG decks and Fire Stalls, but cannot match the stall of a Phase or Permafrost Shield. The reason I made this poll is to see which shields are the most popular in terms of versatility.

Jade Shield! I never really understood it until I used it. IMO on par with Permafrost.

Jade Shield! I never really understood it until I used it. IMO on par with Permafrost.

I play Jade/Mirror and then play Fire/Ice lance or Siphon Life on myself. Boom.
