Did the AI stop using the UGs at some point?   He seems to have accumulated a bunch of them.

^ im pretty sure AI is programmed not to use UGs when the player has a shield that reflects.

You see the same behavior (FGs not using Unstable Gas) if you put up a Jade Shield as well.
