elements to HTML5 https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=45063.msg1021284#msg1021284

this is not a game suggestion.
I'd just like to know, what issues are there with moving elements to HTML5? I recognize that it would take a very long time because of the sheer size of elements, but are there other reasons? I'd prefer to hear from someone who's actually seen the source code thanks to zanz, but anyone experienced in changing things from one programming language to another would help too. thanks!

THe one you'd want to ask about that is Xenocidius, but I haven't seen him post much lately. Actually, for a while now.

I'm always hovering around waiting for someone to ring. :)

There are no real technical limitations preventing it from being done. However, there are some practical reasons not to. Firstly, not all browsers support HTML5 (earlier versions of IE come to mind), so moving it might actually make it less accessible. Secondly, it is much harder (in my experience) to write and develop a game in HTML5/Javascript than in Flash/Actionscript, at least for now. Most importantly, Kongregate, which is an important source of traffic and revenue for the game, only supports Flash games for now, so moving it now is really out of the question.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
