Nothing at all 132jh. In the end it all ends up being a battle of personal preference, but right now I'm inclined to be dissuaded by the amount of work this would cost Zanzarino.
He did however have an idea to possibly make Elements RPG-esque that was posted* in the Flashkit Forums on June 16, 2009. It's an interesting concept and one that I'm sure would please many, but many would also be against, saying it would go against the common styles of CCGs.
I'd be all for personalizing things. For one thing, I know the game "
Vertical Drop Heroes (
http://www.kongregate.com/games/nerdook/vertical-drop-heroes)" by nerdook, also hosted on Kongregate (which happens to host Elements the Game as well) had me hooked as I tried and succeeded in collecting all the different costumes for each Class. It was quite a fun challenge and one that resulted in a constant stream of fun.
If Zanzarino has the time to work on this idea, and really plans on making it come true, I'm all for it. But I'm sure he's tactful enough to see through it that the opinions of the community in regards to this possible path are listened to. After understanding what the large community of Elements the Game wants, he'd act accordingly.
This is by no means shooting down your idea in any manner, but I can tell you this. If Zanzarino plans on integrating RPG elements into (ahem) Elements the Game, it will be quite a long time before then. We all see how long it takes for 8 new cards to be produced, tested and balanced. This concept, if put into play might not be a game breaking one, but will definitely require the delicacy to handle such an intricate project.
