I was going to ask if Platinum was dead or a game glitch happened, or perhaps a bunch of hacked accounts were found.
I noticed I had >1000 place rank, on my dying deck, which was weird, as I had no idea that is even mathematically possible.  So I started a new deck and was immediately placed around 116th rank.  I checked the leaders-list and in the 400-500 rank are decks over 200 days old.

That doesn't make sense, a few weeks ago, the list was all <10 days old, now decks are showing >200 days.

According to the plat rankings, Calindu's deck has been there for 20 days. If someone can get hold of him we could ask what he sees at his end.

Ah, this has happened before. zanz had to manually fix how ratings are handed out because at one point it got so bad you got -4 for a WIN.

I remember that.  I had a deck that would've been a top ten contender for sure that week, but it had a negative rating with a 32-2 record...

errr. how would one figure out the % chance of winning a card for a particular deck? is it combinations or permutations maybe?  o-o
(an example would be nice too if someone has one memorized or something... maybe a 5x6 deck or whatever?)

The mechanism of spins is known, but it's not easy to calculate a probability because of how pillars are handled:

The real algorithm is a bit more complex:
1. Pick a random card in your opponent's deck
2. If it's a pillar, go back to 1
3. Security mechanism (for builds that are composed of pillars only) : if, after 10 random picks, you still get a pillar then keep it
4. Store card in variable card1.
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4, until you have filled 4 variables
6. Now the spinning starts for 3 rounds but you only pick cards in [card1, card2, card3, card4]. This ways, the chances to pick 3 times the same one are much higher.

Step 3 is particularly troublesome for calculation because the 10 picks don't reset each time a card is chosen.

Using that info, could probably write a simple simulator that would spit out the results of 10,000 sets of spins. Would that be useful?

Maybe it wasn't added to the OP, and I don't have time to go through the whole thread right this minute.

I would say here but that annoyingly seems to have finally fallen off the internet. Wayback Machine probably has a cached version we could pilfer though (and/or just get ahold of xeno somehow).
