Okay, what do all the things by your icon mean (ie. the stars, reputation, Jr. member/Council member/Full member/etc., awards)?

The stars and "title" (ie Jr member, Full member etc.) come from your post count. Check the spoiler below.

200 Posts  -  Full Member and 3 Stars
500 Posts  -  Sr Member and 4 Stars
1000 Posts  -  Hero Member and 5 Stars
2000 Posts  -  Legendary Member and 6 Stars

Anything else you see above a person's profile picture either relates to a staff position (ie Council Member, Competition Organizer, Administrator, Newsletter Writer etc.) or being a Master of a certain element. Any of these things may result in having more icons near your Stars and having a different coloured name.

Reputation power is related to your Post count as well as how many people have clicked the "Add to reputation" button under your name. There's a whole formula for it but I don't know what it is.

Awards are given out for all kinds of things. Competitions, PvP events, Logging on to the forums on Elements' Birthday will all give you an award icon, for example. You can hover over a person's icon for more info about what it is, or look on their profile.

I believe that the formula for when a member gives another reputation power is their reputation/100. So since I have 2426 reputation, I would give 24.26 reputation to everyone I click "give reputation to." Every 100 reputation is +1 reputation power.

Not quite. If it was given out just for logging in, you'd be seeing a lot more slices of cake. You only get it for posting in the Happy birthday thread.

If you get an upgraded rare (like Fahrenheit and Poseidon) from a FG, but you don't necessarily want to use them, should you just sell them, or keep them for later decks? Do any of the FG killers use Fahrenheit and Poseidon?

No gods   Hermes and Fire Queen drop fahrenheit.
Neptune and Scorpio drop Poseidon.

Some FG killers can use fharenhite, but poseidon isnt that useful. Good to keep cards though when your very late into the game
