what kind of deck should i get for my first upped deck?

It's often recommended to go for RoL/Hope, because it's one of the best for FG farming. (Also it only needs 6 upgrades to function)

I'd differ, I found Limitless Speed  lot better than RoL/Hope.

IMO, grind AI4 unupped until you can afford a fully upped silver grinder of your choice (if you refuse to make decisions for yourself, pick bone collector or wrecking ball IMO, as they share a lot of cards with a bazillion other useful decks and customize fairly easily), then grind silver until you can afford a fully upped pdials/voodoopanic/etc.

If you can't resist the siren song of the FGs, RoL/hope is way more fun than LS, and their profit at 6-up stage is practically identical

Here are my suggestions:
General Guide these days has changed a bit because of the changes in AI and a few new cards.
First AI3 Deck: Mono Rush,  all can get you a 98% to 100% win rate
Skip AI4
Go to AI5:
RoL/Hope is the old school recommendation.
Limitless Speed is the new school recommendation. 
I recommend limitless speed.
After that, with the money, and ups and rares you win.
Break into more shard territory by building a couple of the best shardless Gold and Silver farmers.
Grind for shards and more cards:
Build Pdials, VoodooBravery, and Malignant Balls.
Grind Plat and AI5 when you want to, Start with Plat each day and see if it favors one of your decks, if it does, stay, if not, switch to FGs.

For Fun: PVP2, and Forum Events, at least until 1.4 comes out.

About the new subforum, Studies and Statistics, should this include reference topics (like, which cards FG drop/don't drop). If yes, aside from sending a PM to CG, how should I ask for some of them to be moved/copied?

I don't currently believe reference materials are covered by studies/statistics unless the reference materials are related to a study or statistical analysis of the material. However if higs approves, I have no objection to having Studies and Statistics updated to "Studies, Statistics, and Reference" or something similar.

With regards to moving topics, we already moved the things that are most pressing IMO. When the opportunity presents itself, I plan to go through and find some of the more historical information and get that moved over as well.

Feel free to PM me directly with anything you think should be moved during this initial transition period, though as I said, I plan to do a sweep at some point and hopefully catch most of what's missing.

I simply thought they could be classified under "studies" in one way or another. That was mainly to put all of the mathematic and specific stuff in one same subforum, so that it would be more accessible, or, if they cannot be moved, even only a stickied topic in Studies and Statistics with useful links.

P.s. Actually, I wanted to pm you the question, but since you answer a lot in this topic and on top of that are the moderator of that section, I thought that, if you were on, you would have answered here, lol.

I believe a sticky with reference material would be the most appropriate since that material's content can vary greatly and thus have a place in many different boards.

I'd say it's really too soon to be cleaning out boards. We'll cross that path when we get there.
