Anticipating Trials

All you really need to learn to be a good General is to spend some time looking through War archives of the teams that have been successful and those who haven't.  The most important quality in a General is a willingness to put time into the event.  If that's not your thing, compete in Trials and then appoint a General.  That's what MrBlonde did following Trials 5 and what deuce indicated he might do above.  Blonde enjoyed Trials but didn't want to compete in War.  I've always felt more people should take that route.

Fwiw, Poker, if you came out of Trials on top I think you'd make a fine Master.

i'm still not confortable with the whole war event, but i wouldnt appoint a general without even trying to fully understand how the event works, its rules and seeing the archives to get a grip on the strategies used, etc... but even then i think i would still seek advice from more war experienced players

I fully intend to run again for Trials, but at this point I can't say much more than "We'll see."

No idea. Doubt I have the concentrated upped cards of a single element for trials.

Will probably be in hallidays during this and seeing how bad I did this war I don't think anyone want to see me as a general anymore.

Also I don't enjoy playing as much as I did

Funny thing is, if (and a big IF at that) i do enter Trials, i will run for Trial. But most of my ups are in Time. So i have to grind extra.
That's why i say "if".

I don't think I can be in war - without being a general - while being a master.
