I think it would work.

It's no different from people playing long distance chess games.  The delay between moves is the same as an iPhone Ap that lets you play Scrabble where every move by one person sends a message to the other players and that player will make their move whenever they get around to it.

That being said... I'm not interested in this but, bring Two-Headed Giant games to Elements...!
