Am I just unlucky?

I read somewhere that the success rate of winning spins on lvl5AI had been deliberately increased from roughly 10% to roughly 15%.  I don't know what to believe, but I know this: I've been Lvl5 farming for three straight hours now, winning 95% of my games, and I haven't won a single card all morning.

I'm very willing to believe that it's just a string of bad luck, but I thought I'd ask just in case something had changed on me.

No, the number of upgraded cards in their decks was changed from 10% to 15%. That does affect the slot wheel, although I'm not exactly sure whether it is for better or worse.

Nevermind, I know I'm just on a bad luck streak now.  I just went SEVEN GAMES IN A ROW without ever getting a SINGLE gravity quantum from my quantum towers.

This sucks, BTW.

I've noticed a lack of luck as well. My deck is a little large so i don't expect more than 2-3 pillars on the first turn or two. But otherwise, i seem to be rather unlucky as well. Especially with the slight slots nerf.

My bad luck today is EPIC.  I just played -- no lie -- seventeen STRAIGHT games in a row with ZERO pillars in my opening hand.  16 pillars in a 40 card deck.

I won 2 of them.

There is a thread (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,778.0.html) in "Report a Bug" about the random number generation. If I recall correctly the spin did use a somewhat faulty random number generation tied to your session. That would explain the streaks - good or bad.

The odds of this happening is 5.30574793 × 10^-31.

Either you are spectacularly unlucky or the rand() function hates you.

I'd have reloaded the client after the tenth time, though.

I suspect the "AI" is cheating too.  I've just done 5 instant losses where I started with 0 Quanta Towers and 0 SuperNovas in a 40 card deck w/ 16 Quanta Generating cards.  To add insult to injury, the "AI" won every coin toss.

A larger deck means a lower chance of getting spins.  It's not 5% though.

As a poker player I can tell you that good and bad luck can go on for 10 hours a day for a week non-stop.  I see more extreme up swings and extreme down swings than I do flat typical coin toss streaks.

You might make your straight by the river 20 times in a row (I've seen it).  But in a thousand attempts to do so I will rob you blind.  The right probabilities always catch up with you in time.

Yesterday against the FGs I had two wins result in 3 spins matching for a total of 6 cards in two wins.  Today I might win 50 times and get nothing.  So far I am on par to do so......
