Airborn ability, does it do anything? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=11623.msg142809#msg142809

I think the subject speaks for itself...

In card games where creatures block creatures before damage is calculated, flying vs non-flying can make a difference, but in Elements, where creatures (blocking/defending) have no impact on damage calculation, it definitely looks like "airborn" is pretty useless.. I mean.. it doesn't even protect from drowning (Flood)

although, I guess it does give spiders something to do

Only Airborne creatures and ranged weapons can get past the "Wings" shield.

There's nothing else, though, is there?

Only creatures with the airborne ability can have it removed by web.

I am positive that something that involves the passive ability airborne will come in the future. For now, it is simply an extra little situational bonus. It's similar to the passive ability venomous, which only helps against otyughs and, to a lesser extent, scarabs, and it's pretty much useless in any other case.
