It probably depends with which deck you are grinding. If you have a good upped deck you may be able to grind in AI4 too, otherwise, with a unupped deck, you'll definitely have to grind in AI3, because there is no way to win enough matches in AI4 unupped.I got 5 upped card and i win sometime and lose sometime
Grinding AI3 and winning 100% of the time in ~90 seconds is much, much better than grinding AI4 and winning 50% of the time in ~180 seconds.Yeah if you go with speed etc grinding AI3 would be better but my deck is a rainbow of 60 cards so should i keep it but make a mono deck to make :electrum or keep using my deck?
Please note that I made all of these numbers up out of nowhere in order to support my hypothesis, results may vary. But yeah it's generally supported by the community that grinding AI3 is more profitable than AI4, because games are faster, winrates are higher, and that = more electrum over time than AI4, even considering the few times that you'll get upped cards from AI4.
Also, playing more games more quickly will also give you more card spins, which = much more cards and/or electrum, plus you occasionally get rares from AI3.
Were I you, I'd be grinding AI3 until I could build a deck capable of grinding silver reliably, which is much more profitable than AI3 OR AI4.
Elbirn speaks the truth. (Preach it, brutha!)Might try the mono death to grind :electrum
I have a mono-Death ununpped deck (this one, actually (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,38672.0.html)) that has a winrate of 89% against AI3. I used it to grind AI3 relentlessly. In the process, I picked up :electrum and some rares, including Arsenic, which complements that deck quite nicely. I used the :electrum to upgrade the deck, and now it has a 98% winrate. :o The upped version also has a winrate of 61% against AI4, which is decent enough for me to fool around in there when I'm bored.

I disagree with everyone in this thread except the opening poster. Then I should continue AI4 ? Oh and would the arena be good to get money?
AI3 used to be a faster way to grind electrum than AI4. It no longer is. I discovered this when I ran this (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,44619.0.html)little experiment. You'll play faster and have a higher winrate in AI3, but it takes a bunch of matches to earn the ~1150 you get from one upped card. To those who say effective AI4 grinders are too expensive, I reply: The Essential Halfblood Farmer.
If you were taught that AI3 grinding is better than AI4 grinding, it might've been by someone who is used to the old HBs. Winrates and upped spin rates against the new HBs are a lot higher nowadays.

It's simple. AI4 is so much more profitable now that is has only 150HP. When it had 200HP, I avoided it like the plague. Now I can farm it like its nothing.Yeah when it had 200 hp it was impossible without like half a deck upped
I disagree with everyone in this thread except the opening poster.Given that getting a single upped gives you an hours worth of farming ai3 most likely, but i wouldn't neglect to mention that it is also a low chance, somewhere around 2%.

but that also means that every 50 games you win you get about 1400 :electrum + the other :electrum you get!I disagree with everyone in this thread except the opening poster.Given that getting a single upped gives you an hours worth of farming ai3 most likely, but i wouldn't neglect to mention that it is also a low chance, somewhere around 2%.

Regardless though, half bloods do provide some of the most diverse decks to play against, seeing as they are random.
In addition if you end your game with full HP you get additional reward and - at least for my experience - it is quite easy to achieve that in AI3, but not really in AI4.Yeah :P but I think I'l still use more AI4 then AI3.
Of course it still depends on which deck you are using, but since you said you are playing a deck with 5 upped cards only and lose half of the games in AI4 it should be quite clear what is better for grinding in that situation..
