I'm not so sure that so many people know that if you increase your maxinum hp before winning, and with em, you get up to like 5x the score and money.
Stone Skin and shard of divinity can do hp increasing and miracle+ non-light healing card can achieve this goal.

Might win you a lot of money, but sometimes you have to consider your electrum/minute rate. That may be more indicative of success.

Would your method provide the highest electrum/minute rate?

Myep.  Decks like SPlat and the 500HP Halfblood grinder have been pretty popular at various points in time.  It would be interesting to compare which nets you the most profit between these types of decks and typical speed EM decks.

Sure it works, but sometimes it's just more efficient to go for a fast kill with a speedbow or something than slowly stalling your way to victory.

Either way, I'm sure it must be pretty satisfying. Imagine getting a juicy 1500 electrum from an EM against a gold arena opponent... *drool*

I was under the impression that this was patched though? I thought I had tried to do this before and it didn't work..Was I wrong?

I forget the exact numbers, but yeah, you can win an awful lot of electrum this way.  The problem is that the 500hp deck doesn't have a very high win percentage.  It loses a lot, though when it loses it usually loses extremely fast.  When it wins, it takes awhile, but you will win about 900-1000 electrum in platinum league on a 500hp EM there.  If you're lucky enough to beat a top 10 deck, you can get even more; I once EMed a high ranking deck and won something like 2100 electrum, and I had a few other games where they weren't EMs, but still won a lot of electrum.

The other problem with 500hp EM is that it's not that fun to play most of the time, unless you've found a different version than I used.  I used it for awhile when arena first came out and it's really good for grinding score, but you will win very few rare spins because the win percentage is low.  It also has the slight embarrassment of losing sometimes to 1hp decks :p  On the plus side, it doesn't care if your opponent has 200hp for exactly the same reason.  (I'm assuming your 500hp deck wins by deckout, like mine did)

its better to go for an intermediate health amount.

I play a deck that tops out at 178 hp. but thats a nice boost when i get an em. And its slow, but not as slow as a 500 em deck.

I've always liked the stone skin type decks, but I found personally that grinding players in PvP1 gives x4 the gold I would get normally from fighting the AI, plus the score was higher too...

Well, since they capped quanta at 75, it's a bit harder to use stone skin for 500hp EMs.

i was under the impression the card "stone skin" itself had a quanta cap at 75 before the game quanta cap came in. so it didnt really affect stone skin decks.

It was slightly nerfed in that the maximum HP you're able to gain is 74 instead of 75...which still barely affects 500HP EM decks.

Oh. I never actually used those decks myself, just played against them and remember being annoyed by stoneskin/miracle. :/
