Oracle foretells Seism as the next false god.
I check the forums for a successful deck against him.
I end up using this.
The Protect Artifacts are necessary to keep Seism from Earthquaking away all of my pillars.

I start off with a good draw.
I get Lightnings as he gets Elite Shriekers.
I strike them down, buying me extra time for Phase Shields in the long run.
I slowly make my way, turn by turn, waiting for a Protect Artifact.
Next thing I know, I am half way through the deck with no Protect Artifacts.
I am now thinking to my self, "what a bad draw, half way through and not a single one. Maybe I can still win. Next draw should be a Protect Artifact."
Every card I draw, I repeat something very similar to that in my head.

My chances of winning decreased with acceleration for each turn I did not draw a Protect Artifact.
Each turn was like deja vu of the turn the preceded it.
My adrenaline intensified this nightmare.

An eternity went by, and the card never came...
Nearing the end, I needed to deal some damage, and was able to get an Elite Phase Dragon out.
It was not enough.

*Earthquake*
*Draws Protect Artifact*

That was the dagger in my back and the arsenic in my drink.
Any chance of hope, gone.    ...with my last pillars.
At this point, there was a fire storm going on in my mind.
And here is a picture of my house at that time.

My dreams were running like a steam machine as the game progressed.
In the end,  they were nothing but relics of a parallel universe.
The burden wore heavy on me like plate armor, when I realized that a miracle never took place.
Though my creatures were immortal, my pillars were not.
Sure, I could have withheld the pillars in my hand, until I drew a Protect Artifact,
and I did try to do that a couple times.
I also baited Earthquakes with single pillars which worked out twice.
In hindsight, there was no butterfly effect taking place.
My loss was inevitable.
I was doomed before it started.

My luck was an abomination.
The four necessary cards were all at the dead bottom of my deck.
My guardian angle surely must have been afk.

The ray of light at the end of this tunnel is that,
though I did not win, it was a great experience.
What I lost in electrum, I gained in entertainment.

I've been having this.  I'm trying to farm Gold with a RoL/Hope with a  :light Nymph.  I've been using it for weeks with a high level of success.  The last 20-30 games, though, I've lost every single one, and almost all of them have been because of bad draws.  There's been 3 or 4 matches, for example, where I would easily have been able to beat the deck I was up against if I had Electrocutor, but I've drawn 20 cards and not got 1 of my 3.  Or there's been ones where I'm down to 14 cards and I'm yet to draw one of my 4 Hopes.  Or down to 10 cards without having drawn one of my 6 RoLs.

Today is obviously not my day.

Actually, posting seems to have cured me.  Played 3 games since my post, and have won 2 of them.  Feel much better now.

Ow...the last four cards, what a troll from your deck o.O

Something like that happened with me against Divine Glory. 17 cards and not one of my four hopes. Game. Over.

That reminds me of when I was using Essence's half blood killer, a Aether Dim shield deck. Out of all six, I didn't pull one till my deck was down to 10 cards. I died from decking out, which made it all the more ridiculous.

wow that's 4/30 in the last 4. Although I was generally hated by the RNG, the worst I got is 3 attackers out of 35 card at the last 5. This time you have the worst case, and it can't be worse. You are going to have some good luck coming ;)

Well, hopefully I don't hijack the thread, but here is another tale of unfortunate dread.
No oracle in sight, I didn't realize my plight.
I reached in my bag for some alkermes, alas there was hermes!
knew i did then, that this story would not make it to pen
but here i stand telling you this tale, of wonder, joy, and purest fate
for throughout my game, I had gazed in sheer awe, for not a single firestorm i saw
and end it did thus, as I heard hermes cuss
Here is my deck, for if you need to check.
