A PVP experiment: You're all illiterate

So, just for the heck of it, over the course of the last few weeks, I've played 150 PVP2 games - not too many, but it'll suffice. Every single which of these games, I've started by saying "Good luck!" through in-game chat function.. And I've written down the responses, if any. A grand total of 114 people didn't reply at all, of which I can excuse 13 for being a farm, and 3 for desyncs.

Now, as far as the actual responses go.. Not a single one was properly capitalized, and the closest I've seen to proper punctuation was someone replying with a single period. The overall intention of the comments was alright though; with the exception of "die n00b" and "8====D suck it", they were all pretty sportsmanlike. As for the latter comment, that was the third time I beat him that night, and I'm sure the "Good luck" wishes got on his nerves by then. An actual overview of the replies I got:

Though I normally try to type in a somewhat proper manner both on the forums and in chat, I find myself responding to the typical "Good luck!" or "gl hf" greetings with "u 2" because I want to type out a short, quick response that grants me more time to focus on my opponent and their deck.  Also, I don't want to come across as too rude.  However, seeing as how I haven't participated in any PvP besides War for the past I don't know how many months, I'm not sure how this would change if I was engaged in casual PvP.

Most of the time, i don't bother because i know you (the unknown player i'm facing) won't bother either.

Anyways, though I rarely pvp, I usually type out Good luck, have fun! and get a "u 2" or equivalent, and then any other comments I make get ignored. When my opponent does chat with me, I'm loose with my capitalization/punctuation/grammar, but that's mostly due to limited round time.

Play with a ragequit deck. Comments get a lot funnier a lot faster.

I never shorten my replies to the extent of "u 2." It really annoys me.

Though I wasn't part of your experiment in PVP2, I always make a point of using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling in my chat messages and forum posts. I just find it more thorough, and it shows that I actually care about the topic I am commenting on.
