So.. did this discussion already die off?
It's been a long time. Can someone remind me where WoE left off, why it died, what it would take to get it back going (if even possible)?
If I remember correctly, WoE died when SG tried to implement a couple of things together (like the ingame 'arena', the Circus, an epic worldwide quest, a whole new merchant system and many other tweaks and updates) and planned to go live from beta; while in the meantime also designing the basic concepts of Brawl (and disappearing shortly thereafter). Maybe it was too much for even her, or simply nobody else had the driving force she had - so the whole thing slowly faded.
To restore, first it would require an extreme amount of Gdoc work and possibly an overhaul of the existing features/mechanics to make them up to date. And also the presence of a dedicated staff and/or gamemaster to keep the game paced. It may be something that can even outmatch warmaster duties, but even then, I believe that because of the nature and mechanics of WoE, the environment can easily become somewhat self-supporting with minimal need of outside supervision. That only goes if based on the old 'kingdom-system' - a smaller, more RPG like game would need more detailed and closer attention from the staff of course.
