2 Statistic questions https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=35671.msg448785#msg448785
« on: January 13, 2012, 09:49:07 pm »
1) heard rumors that deck named "Instosis" as a win percentage against false gods, above 50%.. wich shud be way over most FG Farmers like RoL/Hope etc.. Is that true?

2) are decks, and their statistics, listed in this topic (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,30564 (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,30564)) still true nowadays?

Thank in advance

1) Instosis is pretty good. Around a 2/3 win rate.

2) Depends. The arena fluctuates constantly, so the counters to the arena change over time as well. They still should be pretty useful since they're designed to counter a variety of decks.

1) Instosis probably wins about 65-70% of its games against FGs.  It's not nearly so good against the arena, due to the massive amount of explosion/steal there.  RoL/Hope has a -much- lower win rate than that.  The only problem with Instosis is that it's about as exciting as watching paint dry.  Rainbow Control is way more fun, but you won't get much more than 50% with that, but I use it anyway most of the time.  I've seen a few decks claim over 50% win rates, but the only ones that actually have 50% win FG rates that I've seen are Instosis, I've GotP Time, and Rainbow Control, with Instosis having the highest and rainbow control the lowest win rate of the three.  SPlat might be a 4th, but I haven't tested it against FGs so I can't say either way, though it's definitely good in the arena.

2) Some of the percentages for those decks look rather high to me (two of them in particular, but I won't insult the creators of those decks by naming them) but most of them probably win at a rate roughly around what they claim.

The reason Instosis is the most profitable FG killer by far is not for its winrate (which hovered around 65% in 1.291), but for its speed. In testing done by the creator in  its thread (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,32309.0.html), he took an average of 02:20 minutes a game, and it can be done much faster than that since you rarely play a game that's longer than 12 quick turns (almost no clicking, not much thinking).

Comparatively, you can see the speed, winrate and FGei of other FG killers here: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,25609.msg349339#msg349339
These ones are properly tested by players that did not create the decks. SPlat is not there, but although the winrate is good, it's a slow deck. It might be among the top decks regardless, but not better than Instosis.

So everybody should collect the OP shards, and play the same OP deck against the same FG's over and over, weeeeeeeee.

Kudos to Sevs for coming up with the best deck, but I think it makes for a very boring grind.

Cud ya link those "GotP" and "Raimbow Control" ya talkina about pls?

..And if ya were to suggest a deck for both FG and Arena farming (since ya statin Instosis shud be best for FG but fairly weak for arena)?

tnx

Edit: @Higurashi: ehm.. "FGei" means? :P (tnx for links)
