Just thought I'd pop in here with some info on Adrenaline and Stone Skin...
Adrenaline grants extra attacks, so there are certain fringe benefits that go along with that (and certain risks). The benefits?
- Knocks down Bone Wall fast
- Busts through Freeze/Congeal and Ice Shield
- Activates quantum creatures' abilities multiple times
The downside?
- Dies to Fire Shield much faster
- Dies to infection much faster
Cards that don't get a boost from Adrenaline include Bonds, flying Arsenic/Puffer Fish (venom ability doesn't apply multiple times), and Devourers/Pests (draining 4 quanta per Pest is just wrong).
Now for Stone Skin... Well, let's just say that I broke it less than 10 minutes after it came out. Take a look.
I created a sort of perfect little world scenario where i couldn't kill my opponent and he couldn't kill me, so I just ramped up the quanta and gained health like it was going out of style. Of course, there would be no scenario in an actual match like the one above, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that you or your opponent could have a large excess of earth quanta at any given moment, making this a ridiculous quantum sink. Because of this, Zanz has put a cap on the maximum life you can add from Stone Skin, so you can only gain up to 50 health per cast. It's still really good, but nowhere near as broken as the 500+ health per cast version above (and I was only running 30 cards!).
