Title: 0 turn win
Post by: bogtro on March 04, 2012, 02:51:09 am
In trainer (without starting quanta), was able to obtain 0 turn EM (against AI0) utilizing the new Shard of Bravery. Doesn't actually mean anything, but it looks cool :D

(Probably not optimal, and I changed it about 9001 times over the course of trying to get this).

Thanks to Iman00b8 for encouraging me to waste all this time :P

EDIT: Hell yeah. Same deck got 0-turn EM over AI3:

0TTW? Against a 100hp opponent? Without using max quanta?

So much win.

I think we've proved once and for all that Holy Light is gratuitously and irrevocably overpowered. It must be removed from the game.

This. It is so overpowered that bogtro can win on turn 0 with it UNUPGRADED... imagine what he could do if he upped it

I think this validates my post I made a few minutes ago in another thread, where I said that shard of bravery would break instosis, voodoo universe, and speedbow.  That's 1/3 proven so far :)

Oh, they're both broken too. (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,37209)

Zanz did mention the nerfing of nova/supernova with the 'singularity' concept. If you'll note the prevalence of that card in all 3 decks... :)

IMHO, I think what he was saying was that an OP card will now be not OP because there is another, even more OP card. Nvm, that sounds stupid as I say it. :P

No, what I'm saying that because one OP card, nova/SN, will be nerfed, other cards that would be OP, like SoBe, are also nerfed as it is harder to pay the quanta to use it.

As I said... see what zanz said.  ::)

One, SoBr can easily be ran without SN, so that point is null.

Two, this is not a discussion on the supposed OP nature of SoBr and any attempts of fixing that.

Three, I've never thought of using Holy Light in that manner...

Increase cost to 6|4 or perhaps make the draw 1 card, 2 if mark of fire. This makes it a pretty unique precog that can be used by everyone, but not as broken by fire.

1. I'm not trying to stop the use of SoBe. I'm just noting that all of these 'OP' decks utilize SN+SoBe. I'd imagine they'd be far less OP with SN nerfed.

2. I agree that this is awesome, cool, neat, whatever [adjective]-. I think, however, that this implies a sense of 'OP' as well. Even if it is not meant for the actual game and just a really fun thing to see.
