I was curious and discovered that Fahrenheit's ability overrides Antimatter. Any thoughts on this?

I think that's the expected behaviour, as antimatter is not a status, but a change in stats. The card says that it will deal one extra damage per 5 quanta. In this case they are dealing 14 - 5 and 14 + 5. That is, the base damage plus a bonus of 14.

This.

In much the same way that antimattered scorpions still trigger their poison ability, fahrenheit attacks with its -5 damage, and then (due to having successfully hit the opponent) triggers the opponent to take extra damage based on your fire quanta.

Incidentally, this effect can be a fun way to bypass shields, though this is much more useful with a dune scorpion with -1 attack than it is with a fahrenheit.

I agree, looks like the correct behavior. The only thing is maybe that the text (5+x) is not exactly matching, since in this case the base-damage is -5 and not 5.
Anyway I think also other cards have this (they refer to the usual base damage, not to the current damage that might have changed for whatever reason)

Yes, I've seen this before - dare if you antimatter a card with bad skill that will bypass your shield :)

This is pretty awesome. I wonder if it is another part of the reason behind 75 quanta cap :p.

If you want to bypass shields with a Farenheit just use momentum. It's cheaper and if you get lobo'd you just stop dealing damage, instead of starting to heal your opponent.
