LOL LOL LOL, let's see if people start complaining about cloak now. And maybe they'll see now a creature with 30 hp is annoying too...

Akebono is a bit of an old name by now, the first non Japanese Yokozuna in history. (From Hawai) Some years ago after retiring from sumo, Akebono fought some K1 and MMA matches, though not with much succes.
Shards aren't overpowered, as long as you have them yourself.

Does this mean winning upped relic [serket]?
Also: winning overdrives [akebono] before overdrive is even released in the bazaar?

O_o Didn't realize that all of the implemented FG's were 'easy'. *glances at Eternal Crusader and Jezebel*

Anyway, this kind of ruins the theme of FG's having two elements with one being the more dominant type, but Akebono doesn't give a damn it seems. :) The good thing is that Akebono doesn't have any quanta or permanent control (and very limited creature control from gravity pull), so the best way to fight this guy is to give it your all and pray that you get the cards you need in time.

Let's see how Chimera + Overdrive stack together, eh?  :o

Since the deck's design is based on centralizing and exploiting the high HPs of the Chimera, couldn't the deck be easily countered by using the Eternity found in most grinders?

Liquid shadow + antimatter would be the best combo there

I've found that eternity works very well if you get it out early, decently well if you get it out early mid game, somewhat well mid game, and not that well late game.

Not really. Antimatter doesn't really work well, since if you get one to a high attack, you're probably almost dead, and early on, it'll go out of it quickly.
You're just as selfish as I am. You're just not as good at it yet.

Akebono is a Lame FG IMO.
Add some air, or some death, or just splash another element. Monos have boring strategies, and duos will make it slightly funner, and maybe harder, to make the word Akebono send chills up every players spine...

(Or drop it and add Lotus/Reneissance)

Eternal Crusader isn't that bad, IMO.

CCYB easily handles it. Get an early enough permafrost, back up with SoGs, quint your destroyers, and (if you're playing with one) PA your pulvy, if not don't play it.

Liquid Shadow removes Overdrive, so no problem there ;)

I rolled my oracle early on without knowing about the update and saw the next FG would be Akebono. Not remembering the name, I got curious and tried it out with a CCYB. Let's say overdrive was nasty, but I'm glad I had an early Permafrost Shield (life saver) and the two Antimatter came at the right time for two of the +25 attack crits (and no Chimera from him!). I very close win for me, but certainly a nice new challenge. Can't wait to try the other new FG!

Apparently Hecate has more than 2 Eclipses, which explains why he get one so early in this game.

Someone please fix the list in the first page  :o
