I played against Linkcat's NBC with this deck; won 2-1, although I wasn't using this deck in the lost game. Link got screwed by quanta twice over though.

Many tweaks favoring control over damage.

Started playing AI4. Got some cards that can't be obtained from non-random deck AIs, but I kept getting screwed by , and AIs, which made up like half my matches.
I still want Nova, Pulvy and another grower/Graboid q.q

Yep, thx. I'm prone to such fiddlings, maybe I like to waste my time with (half-)pointless meticulous things.
If anyone has the patience to edit it they may freely use it for such purposes.

Blessing, Steam Machine, Armagio is the top 3. Funnily enough I had 2 times double Blessings from that ugly neurotoxin ai3 deck.

Tbh it gets annoying after a while. Having to play the same friggin' bow for ages can't provide fun forever. Some rule change would
be needed to make it fun again.

One of the biggest issues are that not all unupped cards are available from AI3. I strongly think AI3 decks should represent
all cards - whether we are talking about a no bazaar contest or normal elements play (without a broken arena ofc).
Playing AI4 is toss, and frankly I can do that with a coin alone. It really doesn't force you to be more creative because
everything relies on your rolls. Had 3-6 stat against AI4, and had only a Voodoo Doll from rolls. FFS. Too bad all such games love
to operate as a Skinner's box instead of rewarding efforts righteously. For example it could rate decks by their strength
the strength of the other deck and give a better card from the opponent's deck if it was a great win. Or I could choose from
the strongest cards if I had a difficult win (with a weaker deck - used smartly) and only weaker cards would be available to
pick if we steamrolled the opponent with an op deck. Ofc you cannot rule out luck from these games, but some nicer reward
system is needed. It isn't about skills again, just "good ol' grinding" à la Diablo II. -.-

Sorry Wyand, you're off on another tangent. Yes, it's about grinding. No, it's not a crapshoot, the fact that you're disregarding AI4 shows you aren't making the most efficient play. Yes, nbc was more fun when arena was a thing. Yes, cg's actually gone on & made nbc variants in oetg where we still have an arena & rewards have less variance since you always win 1 random card from deck. & yeah, original elements has a brutal progression curve

Amusingly enough cg happened to grind a ridiculous amount of diablo II (great screenshot of 49 level 90+ toons..), so no surprise there's no shyness about a self constructed challenge tapping into those grind feels. All about optimizing your efficiency

btw 3-6 is a terrible sample. Thankfully we've a thread with 1179 wins sampled: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/farming-studies-and-statistics/ai4halfblood-stats-thread-(1-321)-decks-and-spin-chance

~30% drop rate, ~10% upped card drop rate

It is a crapshoot in a way that your success much more depends on which sort of AI4 you get to play. As iancu mentioned AI4 is
faster because you often get rekt very quickly.

Of course you can optimize your deck but when you have so little option to change that optimization won't change that much.
At least for me it isn't worth the pain.

Some patience. Tbh I wasn't a fan of battle.net play because of the economy (filled with ridiculously overpowered runewords - and the runes where basically found by bots and/or duped...).
Battle.net was interesting only because of special events. Nice offtopic, heh.

btw 3-6 is a terrible sample.

I know it is a small sample but looking at my cards it won't be much better playing 100 games vs ai4.

Btw my point - if it wasn't understandable - I'd like to have some fun when playing. Even if it is a hard challenge. It was fun playing AI3, having all sort
of epic wins with ragtag group of cards, but it sorta loses its thrill after a while. Percentages and optimization won't help. Not saying you shouldn't enjoy it,
was merely pointing out some stuff how to improve on the experience - but sadly we don't have a dev around.
