Day three (and yay double posting) for Cryosis.

This time it's a pillar composed of flames and an Ash Eater. I walk away silently from the fat man. I've accepted the fact that I'll probably pass by him everyday no matter which way I journey.

I have traveled back to the place where I met the grown man, and I've faced many adults in battles, winning against all of them. It appears that occasionally, a spare card will fall out of their deck after I win. I collect them, but so far I have yet to find another card of Water. A pity really, I do want to try and improve my deck to prepare for my rematch with that Elder.

As I slice down a lady who appears to be in her thirties with my dual blades of ice, I see a huge army of what appears to be Crusaders marching down a mountain far to the east. I stare at them in fascination. Who could have enough power to be master over so many creatures? I shrug, take the lady's coins, then walk off. None of my business I suppose.


After fighting off a man dressed up in vacation attire using a deck of Life, Air, and Gravity, I decide to call it quits for the day. None of the people I've fought dropped any cards today. Quite frustrating really, but I know that I must be patient if I want to even think about going back to the Elders.

I sit back and relax.

Well, today was boring. Meh.

Today I defined myself. I opened up a new game. My name is JCJNBC. I chose my identity based on random chance depending on the order in which the starter decks are positioned.





I felt free, fast, and utterly helpless. Yet I persevered. Progress was slow, painful. Yet progress did arrive. The oracle gave me a Fahrenheit. JCJ NBC RNG OP.

Decided to relog into my NBC and play a few games.

Oracle Card: Fog Shield (Dragonfly Pet)

Played an AI1 as a warmup, then moved on to AI2s.

Won a Hematite Golem on game 9/10 of minimum 10 games. Law of averages, I guess. Swapped Graboid out for it after 10th game.
Against all odds, won a Nova on game 10/10. 2 more and I might actually get to make a crapbow.

EDIT: Realized that I just passed the halfway mark for 500 (rare quest), decided to play a bit more.
Played an AI2, decided to try playing an AI3 to see how much my deck could stomach. Always a comforting sight to start with a 1-pillar hand against the hardest opponent you could pick a plausible fight with. He had 5 HP, I had 7, got my Gravity Shield stolen so his Raged VDolls could beat me down. Whoops.
Decided to play one more AI3, out of curiosity. Time/Gravity/Life AI, got a much better pillar start this time. Main concern is to beat the Scarab Swarm, ofc. Otyugh hits the field, pretty sure I'm safe. Win a Golden Hourglass a few turns later.

Hadn't realized my deck could take on AI3s. Might try playing them more often next time I run this.

So, I was given this deck. Seems pretty good, but I don't like green combined with brown, it just doesn't seem to fit.
I want to take out those quantum pillars too, they don't fit my deck either, but it says I'm not allowed to go under 30 cards
Ok, taking out 2 quantum pillars. Hm, graboid, turns into shrieker. It's that 8/3 that I have already, right? That's pretty good. There's no way those quantum pillars will give me the quantum, hmm. Oh, I can change marks. For free. That's awesome! Ok, time mark should do, for now. I now have this deck, which looks way better:

That quantum pillar really bothers me. The dagger is awesome though, 2 damage/0 cost = infinite value.

Damn, lost by one turn because I drew too many pillars. Ok, let's give it another try.
YES! Oh, I get to play casino after each win, huh. That's awesome! I already love this game. Ok, let's roll. Bleh, lost. Well, maybe I'll get it next time.

Quest 5: Defeat AI 2.
Ok...I had to give it two tries to defeat the last one. I wonder how many tries I'll need to defeat this one. Oh, it gives me more electrum and more spins, ok, let's do this.
Won first try, yay! But my hand was really good, so I guess it isn't the time to celebrate yet. Ok, spin time. Let's try "spin" this time instead of the "spin all".
Spin 1: Nope.
Spin 2: Almost won a blue sphere card. According to bazaar, it's a purify. Meh, it wouldn't fit in my deck anyway. It seems like you win 5 electrum if you are in the "close enough" case at spins.

Quest 6: Earn 150 score.
Wat. I have 10. Well, this is going to take a while, but man, 150 electrum, it's going to be totally worth it.
Ok, some "Oracle" button is flashing. Always click flashy buttons right? Or was it don't press? Whatever, let's do it!

Ok, that was pretty easy. It looks like just having rare cards doesn't mean you're going to win every time, ok, spin time! Oh, 3 of them.
